fabulous idea, somewhat decent execution. maguire’s writing style is not quite my taste. read because i love the musical/movie adaptation.

approaching the end after picking this up in January — MLS conducted amazing research. it was an honor meeting her a few months ago. the story of Hidden Figures will always be close to my heart because it all unfolded where i grew up. the book lacks a bit in its organization and her historical actors feel very “flat” considering this is written for a lay audience

i think i have been going “well yeah” because this book is from 1987 and has definitely been referenced in the notes of others books i have read on gender and class in this period/region, still good
