I was only going to read 50 pages before bed...I am now 120 pages in and luckily have reached part II and can put the book down. The writing is like nothing I've read before. It is magical. The rabbit lore and world building is comparable to Tolkien. I can see why this book is loved by so many readers. It will be difficult putting this one down

This story has many elements that remind me of Nausicaa. That might be what hooked me from the start. The lack of romance and great characters kept me reading.
Now past page 200. I was concerned that too many political characters with family names, connections, an plots would get confusing. The author remedies this by having each of the first person characters introduce the new players in their own way.
