Gods, can't imagine going the first 24 years of my life without a single bath 🛀🏻 "the water was black with dirt and a film of scum bobbed on the surface when I was done scrubbing my skin" 🧼 I think that shocked me more than the sword in the gut 🗡️

Gonna finish later. This book is incredibly important to understand when it comes to the state of the world and tyranny. But also is just giving me a lot of anxiety. So switching back over to some more pleasurable reading.

Putting this down for a while. The book club I was reading this with fell apart. And it's just a lot to get through otherwise. So taking a break to enjoy some other books.

Man alive, gets straight into the tyrannical lifestyle. It's stories like this, that strengthen my Libertarianism.

This book is complicated. It's been written in three different languages so far, just randomly changes from English to French to German, have to refer to translations to understand it, there's a couple dozen different characters you have to follow and all of them have multiple names depending on who they're talking to. First time I'm having to take notes, while reading a book, just to keep track of things.
