This book has piqued my interest. I have a feeling Kamai’s curiosity is going to lead to quite an adventure. I already have many questions—how did Kamai and her mom become Dream Walkers, and why is it such a secret that no one can know?
I’m also intrigued by the idea that Kamai doesn’t have a soul. Or rather, she does—but as her mom says, it’s “sleeping.” How strange?

I think Marcelo is incredibly cocky, and Mirabella is just as fierce and unyielding. With a marriage looming on the horizon and a murder shadowing their every move, the tension is already palpable. It feels like the perfect storm of power, pride, and unresolved emotions. I have a feeling this is going to be a compelling mix of high-stakes drama and intense feelings.

This book is incredibly thought-provoking. I kept wanting to choose a side to root for but it’s not that simple. There isn’t a completely good side or a completely bad one. Both sides are flawed, both make terrible choices, and both have moments of humanity. It feels like an honest portrayal of war: just people making decisions in circumstances. Each side has its strengths and its failures.

This book has my feelings split in two. I'm not sure which side to trust in this war. Honestly, I'm not even sure where the truth and lies begin or end.

She was kidnapped—and somehow, I find myself drawn to her captor more than to the so-called heroes. The girl is deeply scarred by what she’s endured. Nightmares stalk her sleep, dreams that refuse to loosen their grip. Some ache with quiet pain; others are outright terrifying.

The book starts with a bang—immediate action. I don’t trust Kyol at all, but I really like McKenzie. She’s feisty, full of grit, and I can’t wait to see how she uses it to her advantage. And somehow, the “bad guy” already seems more respectful and likable than Kyol—and I just met him.

Well... I found a my first ick that I didn't know that I had in one of the spicy scenes. It nothing crazy or to out there for a dark romance reader, but as a germaphobe it does get to me. It is probably the most normal thing I have read but we all have our things.
Overall, everything else that is happening currently is amazing. We are seeing growth in both of the characters and a lot of feelings being unboxed.

On the brink of death, Everly summons Callum. Saving her requires a bargain—one that forces Callum to choose between everything he has tried to forget and the woman he can't bear to lose. As the weight of that decision settles in, the wounds he carried home from the war begin to resurface. Old feelings demand to be acknowledged, trust must be rebuilt, and as Everly's time is running out. Callum takes to training her.

Everly has escape all alone while Callum is in a prison. He can't leave because it was created by Lu specifically for him. Lu seems to be tired of not having his favorite toy.
Callum in prison did help Everly learn a little more about her witch powers, but also open up a lot of questions for her along with a little bit of danger. Unfortunately, Everly doesn't know Callum is in prison so she is losing trust in him.

I’m concerned for Callum. I think Lu is going to take him away from Everly. How is he supposed to protect her if he gets kidnapped? It could increase Everly’s confidence, but it could also destroy some of the trust she has in Callum.
Everly’s father makes me furious. I thought my hatred for him was unmatched in the last two books, but seeing what he’s doing from the inside ignites a whole new level of rage.

Learning to read a person as a whole. Looking for who they are not just by what they say but how they carry themselves and how their personality is being expressed.

Two of my three questions have already been answered. I’m still unsure about the house he was supposedly “trapped” in—I don’t think he was trapped at all, but waiting for Everly. I’m not completely sure, and it may be explained later. Everly is already growing as a character, Callum is basically a giant German Shepherd puppy, and her grandma is hilarious. Together, they had me laughing so hard I can't barely breathe.

This book has been fun to read. I’m not very far in, but I already love both characters. There’s a lot more mystery compared to the other two books, and I’m excited to see the secrets unfold.
Main Questions:
Why is Callum a guardian to her family?
Why did her mom never take her to the house?
Did he choose to be a guardian, or was it forced?
Why was he trapped in the house until another witch arrived?

I think that the ranger is figuring out that the bear attacks are something else completely.

We’ve officially hit a turning point in the story, and I’m so excited to see how it ends. Bonus points: a few of my theories were right. Feeling very smug about that 😄

I think the old lady is still acting weird. One of the guys knows that the 'bear' attacks are not right. The bear is acting abnormal. I think its the team of ex-convicts that have created a machine that mimics the bears attack.

I’m worried about Rielle. El, however, is thriving—and I love how much she’s getting away with right under the emperor’s nose. There’s literally a hole to the Deep and he still can’t prove she did it 😂. This book just keeps getting better. Simon is definitely up to something, though I can’t tell what yet. We haven’t seen Remy in a while, which has me a bit concerned—but he’s smart, so I’m hoping he’s okay

Well, things are starting to get really interesting, but confusing. How did El go into the DEEP?
Jess and Remy are making an interesting duo. I think that it was Corien's mistake to let jess train him as a spy. I believe that he is way smarter than Jess and will outwit her.
Also WTF is Rielle doing?

There’s been another bear murder, but something about it doesn’t add up—I don’t think the bear did it. The ranger’s daughter is off on a strange assignment, and I’m not convinced she’s safe. The old woman knows her somehow, though I can’t place the connection. And the man living with the old woman is acting… off.

A story of a man thought to be buried alive only to be reminded that he was on a ship and traveling to a new place with a friend.

The start of the mystery of a missing girl.

I think the prophet is Lu. She’s the only one who would want to keep her survival hidden from the Emperor. She stopped El from ending her life by reaching her through mind-speech.
The Emperor is becoming more unstable, and because of that, he’s going to push El even harder. I honestly don’t know how to feel about Simon. Jess is a terrible assassin.
Navi is building an army, and the Blood Queen has fled from Corien.

Rielle is acting strangely. Corien has shown her what he’s doing, and I don’t think she agrees with it. This could be the breaking point that makes her stop working with him. El is still being tortured, and it’s about to get worse. Jess has been given Remy. I suspect Simon is a double agent. A prologue (different book) hints that he was found by the Prophet. Then Cast into the wilderness until Corien found him?

The bear attacked again. The man survived, but barely. He was part of the task force sent to kill the bear and was caught off guard while carrying equipment. The attack rattled both the ranger and the biologist—bears aren’t supposed to behave like this.
The ex-convict has chosen not to leave town. He wants revenge on everyone who wronged him, and the bear may be the perfect cover to kill the ranger.

A bear killed a man who was fishing in the river near his home. He was about to propose to the love of his life (the rangers daughter)... His father found the body and called the ranger, who has decided to help hunt down the bear. He isn’t part of the official bear task force, but for personal reasons, he’s going to help track the bear down and kill it.

A lot is happening, which is honestly surprising. And the emperor is sick??? At this point, they might as well wait him out until he dies. Remy is so screwed. The king didn’t get help, but I don’t blame the people—they don’t trust him. R is clearly getting worn down, and I feel like the pregnancy will push her back to the king. She also misses her home deeply. Corien is losing it. And Simon... he loves Corien.
