Visualize: I have created many mental images in this book so far. One was when Agent Brand had to stop a middle school food fight, I could imagine people in my grade throwing food at people. There is also another one when Flinch was exploring inside The Head and I pictured a brain. On page 213 it says, "Flinch was flying through the fat cells using the containment suit's foot boosters.

Text to Text: This book reminds me of "The Last Kids on Earth." This is because in both of the books there are a group of kids that try to stop the evil. On page 102 it says, "Before Mr. Miniature new it, both of us legs and feet were cuffed." This shows how the evil is getting taken down by a little kid named Flinch.

Agent Brand is a top secret agent that is a man of danger, action, and intrigue. He is a man with very many accomplishments. It says on page 1, "He hang-glided into a raging forest fire to recover the plans for a deadly laser cannon." That and many more had earned him the title of America's Greatest Secret Agent. Now his next mission Is stopping a middle school riot.

Antagonist: The head is the antagonist in this story because everybody in the book describes him as an insanely bad villain. For example on page Vii it says, "Sherman's bosses told him that the head was evil and could destroy the world. So they have to put drug-inducted sleep pills so he can't wake up and if he did the world would be doomed.

One person that is a static character is Jigsaw. This is because he has always been a bad guy and has never changed. For example, he said "Finally my plan has worked, now I can take over the world." One person that is a dynamic character is The Hyena. She started off as a bad guy, but now that she has seen Jigsaw's plans, she Is a good guy. For example, Jackson said, "Jigsaw is only using you and he will destroy you.

CHARACTER V. CHARACTER: One of the conflicts in my story is The Hyena and Jigsaw. They are these two bad guys that keep getting in the way of his teams plans. For example, when they were rescuing this little girl The Hyena got in the way and threatened her dad. Jigsaw is creating a machine that is going to help him take over the world. Now Jackson and his team have to take out Jigsaw and The Hyena.

One of my predictions is that all the kids are going to find out Jigsaw's real identity. I think this because all of the kids are talking about Jigsaw and Jackson accidentally starts talking about his real identity. "On page 204 it says, "Competitive jigsawing? Jackson laughed... The nerds looked at him as if he were a soupy zucchini they found in the bottom of the crisper drawer." "Your not joking?"

The point of view in this story is 3rd person omniscient. I know this because in the text it talks about all of the characters feelings. For example, it says how the team feels about Jackson and how he needs to be more humble. This is why the story is 3rd person omniscient.

Jackson is the protagonist and he is trying to become a spy. He is feeling really nervous and he wears braces. The main focus of the book is Jackson becoming a spy and how he goes through the journey.

Currently in the book Nerds, Jackson is in this weird place. He got taken by a guy that seems like he is on a secret mission. He is asking him weird questions, like his code name and how strong he is. Then the two bookshelves start to enclose him. After that, out of nowhere there is this girl called the Hyena that saves him from the mysterious guy.

I know this because this book is about a bunch of real stories that happened to African Americans. One of the stories was about Emmett Till. This is why this book is fiction, historical fiction, and realistic fiction.

Jerome met a new friend and they got beat up in the bathroom. Jerome's friend gave Jerome a fake gun for protection. His mom is really worried about him walking home and back. This is because he lives in a really sketchy neighborhood with lots of people that drink. Now his mom found out that he had a gun and then I'll see what happens next.
