the dynamic character of this story is Greg Hefley, the reason fro this is because he is the main character, but mostly a protagonist, this is because he is just an average teen boy who often brushes things off and says he'll do them later. He often also forgets to do things like chores or homework, and just goes to hang out with his friends. He is also very unorganized, he often misplaces things too.

I believe that the conflict in the story is character vs character, what I mean by this Is when Greg is in the bathroom and he sees the spider and he freaks out and doesn't know what to do so he jumps up on the bathtub, and try's to get away from the spider, after he cant do anything he finds a glass cup to trap the spider, and then calls room service for help, this shows that Greg cant do it by himself

my predictions that I would make for this is, right now Greg and his family went to a restaurant at the resort and his mom said not to drink the water because there stomachs weren't used to the microbes in the water, but his dad didn't listen and drank it anyways, then when they were going back to the room he had to go to the bathroom tow times, and he had a bad stomach ache, so my prediction is its gonna pass on

point of view: the point of view from the book is written in 1st person point of view, the reason is because it is written in Greg's point of view, things that make it easy to know this is because I he using thing like i my etc. I can also infer that the pov is 1st person because instead of it saying his brother it says Manny, for example when Manny brought the jellyfish to the pool.

protagnonist: the protagonist of the story is Greg hefley, he is the main character and he is the one that writes in the diary, his personality is that he is shy around other people he's not familiar with but very outgoing around people he knows, he is also very brave by his actions, he is willing to do things that other people aren't willing to do, for example when the security guard was chasing them he ran.

the setting where they are in the story is they are at a resort where they are spending there christmas.
