CLIMAX: I think the climax in the ballad of songbirds and snakes is during the hunger games when Lucy Gray was getting hunted by Coral's team. Because the story is split into 3 parts (2 main parts) the other climax is when Coriolanus Snow gets found out for cheating and is forced to become a peacekeeper in district 12 for 20 years.

AUDIENCE AND PURPOSE: The purpose of the book is to entertain people because it is fictional and has no educational purpose. Which also means its not persuasive because the things in the book arnt real. I think the topic is fiction and the reading age is 8-13. The book is for people who want to laugh.

GENRE: The genre for The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is Science Fiction, Dystopian, and Romance. It is science fiction because there is things like geneticaly modified snakes. It is dystopian because the districts send 2 children to fight to the death in the hunger games every year and the capitol is meant to watch it. It is romance because of Snow and Lucy Gray in love with each other.

ARCHETYPES:In the book is split into 3 parts however I can only see two archetypes. The first archetype is rags to riches. Coriolanus lived in the capitol which is better living than the districts but his actions to help Lucy Gray in the hunger games make him a peacekeeper. The second archetype is the quest. INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident in The Ballad Of Songbirds and Snakes is when Coriolanus Snow was chosen as a mentor for Lucy Gray. This is when his life got more extreme as he also fell in love with Lucy Gray and didn't want her to die leading him to rig the games by cheating in order to protect Lucy Gray. This led him to forced to become a peacekeeper for district 12 so he can still see Lucy Gray.

CONFLICT: The conflict in the story, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is character vs society (PvS). I know this because Coriolanus Snow is fighting against the idea of the Hunger Games because he thinks its brutal and inhuman. I also know this because there's never a main antagonist throughout the story as the only "character" antagonist last a short time. This is why I think TBOSAS is character vs society.

TELL ME ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU READ FOR THE LAST 6 WEEKS: I am on page 313, the hunger games started and Coralinius Snow's (I think that's his name I think I spelt the first name wrong) tribute, Lucy Gray is a district 12 tribute and a girl which is the worst district to mentor, The head gamemaker genetically modified snakes and released them into the arena and Lucy Gray is sorrounded by them.

INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident for Mockingjay (Near the end) is when president snow talks about him not sending the fake package bombs and tries to get Katniss to doubt district 13 by lying and saying that district 13 started and came out of the dark days when the war went bad against the districts.

ARCHETYPES: I think the Archetypes in Mocking Jay is the quest because they want to win the war against president snow and overcoming the monster because they want to unalive president snow to win the war and stop the hunger games from happening ever again.

SUMMARY: The main character is Katniss Everdeen aka the Mockingjay the story is about the rebels wanting to win the war against the Capitol. The story takes place in a future dystopia. The story is told in Katniss' perspective after all of the events though it is told like it is happening right now.

VISUALIZE: I visualized some things in Mockingjay, for example when Katniss was talking about how she felt bad for Peeta and they mind controlled him I could visualize the scene on which she was talking about if he was getting any better and they tell her some good news but Haymitch comes and tells her that its no use

MAKING CONNECTIONS: A connection I made in Mockingjay is that they started talking about the poem the hanging tree as a poem that they sing every once in a while, also when Katniss had free time she was making a noose and thinking about the poem while making it. They also are in district 13 where their food is controlled and the rules are very strict and that reminds me about school a lot.

CHARACTERIZATION: In Mockingjay, Katniss thinks about saving Peeta from the Capitol but with the situation, she cant do anything. This shows that Katniss has a hidden feeling and wants to save Peeta. She also feels bad for him because she knows that the Capitol is beating him up for propaganda to the districts and the Capitol.

ANTAGONIST: The antagonist of Mockingjay is President Snow because he is attacking and starting a war against Katniss Everdeen and the rebels/district 13. He is attacking district 13 by sending bombers into district 13's hospitals and other things. So far he sent bombers into there and even though Katniss and Gale shot down some of them most of them dropped their bombs.

(STATIC VS DYNAMIC) I believe Katniss Everdeen is dynamic because she changes over time in the story. I know this because she changed her emotions about other people and things that they did. Another reason why I think she is dynamic because multiple times she is mentioned to not be perfect.

CONFLICT: The conflict in the hunger games is character vs character because the gamemasters are using fireballs and other things to try to unalive katniss because the hunger games are starting to get boring and they need the tributes to get closer so they would fight. First they made water far away and she almost died to thirst, then they started a fire and made katniss run away and then they shot fireballs at her.

PREDICTIONS: I think Katniss Everdeen will win the hunger games because she is narrating the story and you can't narrate a story if you are dead. Another thing I think will happen is that Peeta will die because there can only be one winner to the hunger games. A another reason I think Katniss will win is because she played very well as a girl who Peeta had a crush on so she will have a lot of sponsers to help her.

Katniss Everdeen is deciding how to present herself to the audience to get more sponsors to help her. However she couldn't decide how to present herself. She was training with Haymitch to present herself but none of the ways worked so she trained with Cinna and found out she should act like a fighter because she vouluntered for her sister,

She also talks about how Peeta is going to unalive her and how she is in a lot of danger inside of her head. She also cannot hear other people's thoughts and the story only focuses on Katniss.

She is the protagonist because we hear her thoughts and what she says. She is very brave for volunteering instead of her sister and she hates the capitol. Her dad got blown up in a mine explosion and her mom is getting old so she has to hunt to get food

Katniss is looking for food in dumpsters. But peeta decides to give her a loaf of bread which she eats with her sister and mother with tea.

Genre: Sci Fi?
So far Katniss' gets a high tech bow that only works when it hears her voice. Before getting her bow she needed to go through identification. Another thing that happens is they film a video to convince people in the capitol to join the rebels.

So far the hospital got firebombed and katniss' is angry.
