POINT OF VIEW: This book is written from the 1st person narrator point of view. I know this because the main character, Greg Heffley, is the one telling the story through his journal. He uses pronouns like "I," "me," and "my" to describe his life and what his life is like. Since it's a diary, we get to see his private thoughts but we don't know what the other characters are thinking unless they tell him.

VISUALIZE: While reading I can hear the loud, chaotic noise of all the students and feel the total embarrassment Georgia has when she has to deal with the "Princess Patrol". I can picture these scenes so well because the author uses a lot of humor and descriptive details. In my mind, I see Georgia’s frustrated face and can almost smell the gross cafeteria food.

SUMMARY: Katniss Everdeen has survived two Hunger Games but now she is caught in a huge war. After District 12, is destroyed, she becomes the "Mockingjay" which is the symbol of the rebellion against the evil President Snow. Katniss as she makes videos to inspire the rebels and fights in dangerous battles. By the end she has to deal with the scary reality of war and the sadness of losing the people she loves.

INCIDING INCIDENT: Katniss Everdeen, a girl who is in Distirct 13 and is now about to have her little sister selected for Hunger Games. Prim, is Katniss's little sister and the women on the microphone has said for Prim to come on up for Hunger Games. Since Prim has been selected, Katniss won't allow that so she yells out, "I DISTRIBUTE" which means that she wants to swap with Prim and be in Hunger Games instead.

The Tale of Dersperaux most likely falls under The Quest or maybe Overcoming the Monster or Rebirth. Desperaux, is different from the start; he loves music, reading, and isn't afraid of humans or rats. His life changes forever when he meets and falls in love with Princess Pea. When she is kidnapped and taken to the dark dungeon by the rat Roscuro and the servant girl Miggery Sow.

Summary: The main characters are Roscuro, a rat who used to sail the seas, Princess Pea, but now is sad and lonely. Her mother, the queen, scared by Roscuro, died in her soup. The book takes place in a dark and gray kingdom, also known as Despereaux, where a rat steals cheeses. The book takes place there because a rat has been trying to steal cheese to eat and books to read. The story is told by alternating chapters.

Page number: 98 "Despereaux danced, flipped, and swooned all the way from Pea's bedroom to his own-And how it had been quite tasty, too, with a fine, snappy crunch." I visualized a picture like bone snap in my brain. Or how a twix bar snaps when you break it in half. I had also visualized how Despereaux danced and flipped and how he swooned all the way to his bedroom like how he flew there in my brain.

Both the book and the movie feature the central characters: the tiny, large eared mouse Despereaux Tilling; the sad Princess Pea; the rat Roscuro who is cast into darkness; and the servant girl Migery Sow. All their stories are entwined by the kingdom's shared tragedy involving soup. The time when the rat almost got eaten by a cat it reminded me of Tom and Jerry because of how good the reference was to Tom and Jerry.

The character Roscuro is characterized by what he feels and does. Roscuro feels a deep fascination with light and the human world, but a terrible accident involving the Princess Pea leads to his banishment to the dungeon, where he feels profound despair and anger. What the character does is seek revenge on the princess and the human world for his misfortune.

Antagonist: Unlike typical villians who seek power or wealth, Roscuro's motivation stems from a deep-seated loneliness and a yearning for a world he is excluded from. His initial curiousity leads to a series of unfortunate events, including the death of the Queen, which results in rats outlawed and soup being banned in the kingdom.

STATIC V. DYNAMIC: Capricorn Anderson is pretty much a Dynamic character because he's in a new school where he doesn't know anyone and where nobody knows him; but everything changes once he gets into 8th grade and becomes the school president as a joke but then wins the election and becomes the greatest school president ever because he becomes the most popular kid at school and has the greatest rules in his school.

CONFLICT: The conflict in my book is the character, Capricorn Anderson doesn't like the new school he attended a few days ago. Capricorn Anderson doesn't exactly fit in with his long, ungroomed hair and hemp clothes; infact, he's the biggest nerd around. But that all changes in 8th grade because once 8th grade is here he's elected 8th grade president as a joke.

PREDICTIONS: I think that the grandmother would be sent to the hospital due to a bad fall. And then when Capricorn Anderson joins the new school, almost everyone there would probrably torment him and tries to break him so that he'll stop being so nice. But everyone realizes that Capricorn Anderson is a much better person than the rest of them, so they appreiciate him more

POINT OF VIEW: This book is told from a 3rd person limited point of view. The story is told by an outside narrator but switches between the thoughts and feelings of several characters, including Capricorn Anderson, Zach Powers, and Hugh Winkleman. The narrator only reveals the thoughts and feelings of the specific character whose perspective is being presented in that chapter.

Protagonist: The protagonist is Capricorn Anderson. Capricorn Anderson who has been a hippy that's been raised on a farm, home schooled by his grandma, and has never watched TV or eaten pizza. An accident throws him into the public school system and he is ridiculed for his odd habits including Yoga and handmade clothes.
