SUMMARY: The main characters in this book are Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Grover. This story is about how Percy and Annabeth save the Half-blood hill and Grover. This book sometimes takes place in New York. The event took place when Percy was in seventh grade. Last, this story is told in in first place by Percy Jackson.

Types of Conflict: The type of Conflict in this book is character v. character. In the book after Percy returns with the Master lightning bolt to the half blood hill, he decides to talk to his friend Luke but Luke tries to kill Percy. The Percy found out one of the god want to burn the Half-Blood hill.

INCITING INCIDENT: The moment when Chiron told Percy that he needs to face the Lord of the dead. "So I'm supposed to go to the Underworld and confront the Lord of the dead and get the most powerful weapon in the universe?" (page146). Percy had never faced the Lord of the dead and he don't know where he could find the lightning bolt.

THE QUEST: Zeus's master lighting bolt are missing so Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Grover are going on a quest to return Zeus's master lightning bolt. They fight monsters like the underground monster Ms. Dodds and her sisters on their way.

SUMMARY: The main character in this book is Percy Jackson. He's a Half-blood kid that is about to be kicked out of boarding school again in New York. One time when Percy and his mother went camping there was a monster attacking them and Percy killed the monster and went to the Half-blood camp. Now Zeus's master lighting bolt has been stolen and Percy and his friends have only ten days to get it back.

Visualize: I can almost picture every scene in my mind. I pictured all the cabins in the camp. On page 79 it wrote about how the cabins in the camp look like. "Finally he showed me the cabins. There were twelve of them, nestled in the woods by the lake. They were arranged in a U, with two at the base and five in a row on either side. And they were without doubt the most bizarre collection of buildings I'd ever seen."

MAKING CONNECTIONS: This book talks about gods and it reminds me about what we learned in Social Study about gods. "'oh, different names, perhaps Jupiter for Zeus, Venus for Aphrodite, and so on but the same forces, the same gods.'" (page 72) this is where it reminds me.

CHARACTERIZATION: Percy Jackson is the main character in this book. Percy Jackson thinks he's not normal at first because he saw something weird. Then when he was camping with his mom weird thing happens and he knows that he's not normal.

ANTAGONIST: I think is Mrs.Dodds because she's trying to kill Percy Jackson and he made his grade drop down from an D to an F. I think it's Mrs.Dodds because on page 13 "She said: 'Die, honey!'" and on page 17 it saids "My grades slipped from Ds to Fs.

Static v. Dynamic: I think Thalia is Dynamic Character. I think it is because at the beginning of the book Thalia hates Zoe and the Hunters but at the end of the book after Thalia and Zoe fight together to save Annabeth and Zoe died Thalia decided to join the Hunters. This is why I think Thalia is a Dynamic Character.

CONFLICT: The conflict in my book is character vs character. I think it is because Percy Jackson and his friends are going on a quest to save Artemis and Annabeth, and they're fighting Luke and Atlas.

PREDICTIONS: I think Percy, Zoe, Thalia, and Grover will fight the skeleton soldiers then continue on the quest. I think it's because on page 208 "'We need to go.' I said, 'He's right, the skeleton soldiers are here.' Zoe said pointing to the back door." so they're going to fight the skeleton soldier.

Point of view: The point of view in my book is the 1st person narrator. "I have no idea how many miles we covered, but the mountains faded into the distance and were replaced by miles of flat, dry land." (on page 175) It tells me it is the 1st person narrator because it said I have no idea.

PROTAGONIST: The main protagonist in this story is Percy Jackson. He's a Half-Blood and really brave. I think he's brave because he can handle almost everything. His friends also said he is brave.

SETTING: The setting is in the future, at a castle. It's at a castle because on page one it says "Westover Hall looked like an evil knight's castle. It was all black stone, with towers and silt windows and a big set of wooden double doors." The time is in the future because there are monsters in the castle.

GENRE: This book is fantasy. Because it's about a wizard's dog and the dog can talk. There is a lot of magic in the book like magic that can make things talk and a magic that can make things fly.
