Inciting Incident: In my book the the inciting incident is when charlie first talks about his dad playing basketball and how he wanted to be like him. "... I saw my dad cross up Mr.Jakson It's like he put him on ice skates I wish I could ball like that." Later in the book charlie starts to play and love basketball and later he even makes a game winning shot like his dad

Tragedy: I think my book is a tragedy because at the start of the book they make it a big plot point that the main character's dad died. On page 20 it says " this up coming summer will be the first one without my dad." I think because his dad died it makes the story even more sad because he start to do stuff because he has no dad anymore.

SUMMARY: My book is about a young teenage boy and his friends and their everyday life. Some events take place in the book because the main character's dad died Like the main character steals and skips class because he feels sad that his dad died. On pg.75 it his friend says "...are u gonna skip again." Again he does these things like skip and steal because he feels like something is missing and that is his dad.

Visualize: In this book they make you really visualize the basketball court and the sounds you hear when your playing in a game. on pg. 200 the main character says " I can hear the rough of the crowd..." That piece of evidence shows the sound of the basketball game.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: One thing that I really connect with in my book is the way the main character loves basketball so much. I love basketball so much I play It every day. I really relate to how much drive he has for basketball too.

characterization: I think what makes my Character my character is his love for basketball. on pg.48 he says " dad takes us to the rec again..."this is important because it shows he always plays basketball and he loves it.

Antagonist: There is no real antagonist in my book yet but I kind of think it is the main charaters mother. I think this is because on page 3. "The cat is dead which is why it is cold." I think this could make her the antagonist later in the book because she said that her 3 year old son flat out when he petted the cat and asked why it was cold.

Static v. Dynamic: One character that is dynamic is the main character denji. On page 156 he says " I don't follow orders mindlessly anymore. I am not a dog!" I think this dynamic because before he would just follow order and now he thinks for him self.

CONFLICT: I think the conflict in the story is character vs character. I think this because on page 124 Aki says "That settles it I will never get along with this women." I think this shows that aki does not not really like his partner and that is why I think it is character vs character.

PREDICTIONS: I think that the 2 main charters Himino and Aki are going to be good partners together because Himino has had 5 buddy's before him and she seems like a very skilled person, and it seems like Himino cares about her partners. "Don't you die, Aki." pg.110. I think this shows that Himino cares about Aki and she will not let him die.

My story is told in 3rd person omniscient. I know this because the narrator tells what both people are thinking. Like in some of the writing the narrator will be telling one person's feelings and then tell the others like in the middle of the story it changes to a different person.

protagonist: The protagonists are Denji the main character. I think Denji is the protagonist because Denji is kind of neutral and just there because it is his job and his boss told him to go. on page 36 it says "Ms.Makima told us to get along and do the job so lets do it ." That is why I think Denji is the protagonist.

This part of the book is set in the deep forest of Japan. When they are in the forest they are set in a big like gathering place that the 2 main charters are searching. In the gathering place they are with 3 other people. I think this story is set in modern day

GENRE: This books genre is realistic fiction. I know this because, the events in this book could happen in real life. Some examples of this are the kid getting in a accident and then has to go in a wheel chair, of even the kid winning a contest for funnest kid in world I could totally see that happening in real life.

this book is about a kid that got in an accident, because of this he is in a wheelchair. In the hospital the nurses thought laughing is the best meds, so they give him a joke book and the kid gets funny. Then he goes to a competition that he wins and gets 1,000,0000 dollars.
