Incident: In the book Fast Break, the inciting incident occurs when Jayson Barnes gets caught stealing a new pair of basketball shoes because he couldn't afford to buy it with his own money. He has been living in his own poverty after his mother's death and her boyfriends abandonment. This forces Jayson to go into the foster care system living with a new family.

The plot that most describes the book Fast Break is comedy. I chose this because it is a happy, hopeful, and dramatic ending when his basketball team, (Bobcats) won the state championship realizing that he was homeless and use all of his dedication and hard work to get there to have a happy, hopeful future.

The main character in the book Fast Break is Jayson Barnes. This book is about a 12 year old basketball player who plays point guard and is lightning fast. It takes place in North Carolina. It is a chronological narrative with flashbacks.

In the book Fast Break, there are a lot of emotions such as excitement, empathy, and sensation What makes these emotions happen is when they are playing games, practicing, and what happens in the locker room.
There is also pressure about being a teenager and what they expect in you for basketball.

Connections that I made with the book Friday Night Lights are pressure for a game that I'm playing or pressure with school, sports, family and everything that's going on in my life. I've also found a connection when they won the CIF championship for their school. I have experienced victory for basketball, soccer, and football. Those games were tough but my team still managed to pull through and win.

The main character, Nate Brodie, feels pressure, guilt, and fear when his family and best friend face hardship feels joy in football and the support of his loved ones. He plays football, and is motivated by his relationships and the challenges they face. Nate says things that show his loyalty to his friends and family and his determination to succeed, even when scared or frightened.

The antagonist of my book is Joy McCoy. He is an obsessive and over-competitive father who tries to take over the football team and make it all about his son.

Tim Riggins is a dynamic character in Friday Night Lights. I know this because he is evolving from a reckless bad person to be a compassionate and responsible person. He faces his demons and doesn't let it affect him. He sacrifices for other people before himself.

The main conflict in the book that I am reading is the town's obsession with high school football. This puts pressure on the players to win, to have good grades, and not to fight in the middle of a game. It also shows the coaches pov and how he wants to win the state championship with the team he is currently coaching.

My prediction was that Jack was going to try and kill Danny because Jack was drunk and turned possessed. Wendy told Danny to run in the maze that was nearby the hotel. Jack got distracted and killed another person which let Wendy to get a snow-mobile to pick up Danny in the maze. Jack heard the snow-mobile and started chasing Danny. Jack got lost and froze to death while Wendy and Danny escaped and survived.

The point of view for my book is 3rd person omniscient . "She hesitated again, miserably caught, not wanting to leave Danny and the safety of the apartment and at the same time badly needing to reassure herself that Jack was still ... safely packed away." (p 506." The narrator also talks about Jacks POV when he is drinking too much. Also when Danny says REDRUM which eventually turns into MURDER.

The point of view for my book is 3rd person. I know that because the narrator says how all the characters are feeling and their thoughts. On page 506, it states "She hesitated again, miserably caught, not wanting to leave Danny and the safety of the apartment and at the same time badly needing to reassure herself that Jack was still ... safely packed away.

The protagonist of my story is Jack. Jack is lots of things but I will be describing his actions, thoughts and feelings. Jack is a funny, scary, weird, guy. He seems a little ruff to others. I know that because we dislocated his sons shoulder because Jack thought that he lost something very expensive. It doesn't talk about his thoughts. He likes to write but he decided to write disturbing things.

The setting takes place in Denver, Colorado in the winter time. Jack and his family are getting to know more about the hotel. Danny is eating chocolate ice cream on a table with a worker talking about what Danny likes.

The genre of the book I'm reading is mostly horror, mystery, and fictional. How I know that it's the genres that I mentioned is because Jack and his family hear loud noises and see ghosts. They always leave you on a cliff hanger when it's a new part or chapter.

I am on page 23 for the book "The Shining." Jack and his family decided to stay at a hotel that was haunted . Jack and his family have to stay until winter is over since that's Jack's job. The workers have been showing them around since it is so big everything is spread out. The family is starting to hear screaming, stuff falling, etc.
