Mia wrote a recommendation letter for Hank, one of the weekly at the motel and the letter worked he got the job and they celebrated thanksgiving.

Mia was walking home from school and she was really happy because she had just made amends with her only friends only to come home and find her mom beat up outside from an attempted robbery, she had to go to the hospital

Hank, one of the residence of the motel was told to leave because he wasn't paying rent anymore but he refused to pay this meant that the money would have to be taken out off Mia's parents paycheck which made them lose 150 bucks

Mia got her grade back for the story that she wrote and she got a c-minus, and after getting this grade she felt discouraged about the essay contest she was thinking about entering because of her Grammar and the way she wrote

Mia asked the owner of the motel if they can install Security cameras or bullet proof glass because she was attacked a couple days ago, she was grabbed. But all her ideas were rejected

Mia attends her new school for the first time and is delighted to have a made a friend named Lupe and the motels washer broke so they had to buy a new one

Mia Had started working the front desk to the motel, soon she was tasked with a wake up call for one of the people living at the motel, but she set the thing wrong and it woke up someone else and because of that they were forced to give a refund to two people

Mia and her parents finally found a place to work and it is a little motel that they can make a living out of but on problem is that the boss and owner of the motel is strict and doesn't like the family

Mia and her parents are immigrants from China and are looking to make a living in America

when Mirjams body was getting ready for burial Hanneke noticed that her body features don't match the description she was given, so she ask one of Mirjams friends/classmates Christoffel who explains that the Mirjam Henneke thought was killed was never really her instead it was her friend Amalia when Hanneke learns this she go to visit actual Mirjam and explains to her what happened to her friend

Hanneke and Ollie are waiting for the transport, and when it comes they look for craidge that has the camera and film while that is happening Hanneke finds Mirjam but she doesn't go with her instead she runs, unfortunately Mirjam is killed and Hanneke is captured

Hanneke and Wilem look for German uniforms and also look for a escape route after they get the camera

Hanneke find out where Mina is hiding out and is able to ask her questions and Hanneke finds out that Mina took pictures of the place that Mirjam might be. when they look at the photos Mirjam is in one of them, they then find out that the camera was left in one of the stranport with photos of people who could round up so know they need to figure out a way to get the camera back

Hanneke found a newspaper in her house and it was the same one that Mirjam would read over and over again in the hideout and she thinks that she got on a train to go and find one of her friends.

Hanneke meet with the group again to figure out what they can do next about how to find Mirjam and help the Jews One of the group members could be round up soon so they need to think fast
