ANTAGONIST: The antagonist in this story is twighkit. The text says, “you smeel like pine needles ” (Erin , 46 #). This is significant because conflicIt challenges the protagonist .

VISUALIZATION: I could picture the owl coming down into the forest were they were and attacking them in my mind while reading. The text says, “An owl screeched Violetkit ducked her heart was pounding what was that ” (Erin pg 42 #). This helped me It made me feel like I as really there with them and hearing the owl call I had a picture in my mind here the owl went down and swooped up all of the people.

CONNECTIONS: This story reminds me of the giver this story is like Jonas is like trying to go out of the fake world just like thunder is trying to stay alive . Thunder is worried about his pack and says, “you need to make sure he has water at all times” (Erin , 27). This matters because Thunder wants to keep his pack alive just like Jonas wants to save Gabe.

DYNAMIC: So far, (Alderpaw) is a static character/dynamic character. In the story it says, “Alderpaw led the way curiously along the cliff edge” ( 192). The change (or lack of change) is important since it reveals… that Alderpaw gets more and more curiously since they got on that island.

I wonder why Alderpaw is so mad at the whole group all his friends tried to do was to help him with the battle. In the story it says, “Alderpaw felt as if every hair on his pleat was rising” ( 219). This is important because Alderpaw probably is very stressed out and does not know what to do at this moment.

PREDICTION: I predict that Alderpaw will starve and die. In the story it says, “Alderpaw belly was growling” (203 ). This prediction makes sense because well after that Alderpaw goes to find food and there is no food at all.

POV: The story is told from Alderpaw point of view. In the story it says, “This is Alderpaw quest” ( pg.149). This point of view adds to the story because it shows to us that this book is about a quest and that they are going into the quest right now and they realize that.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of my story is Alderpaw. In the story it says, “Alderpaw leaped forward in massive bounds”. And Alderpaw that ( pg 141). This illustrates that (Alderpaw) is the main character because his name is used a lot in the book and he is the most often to do something or to be in the book/ chapter.

SETTING: The setting of my story is the woods. “Alderpaw went back to the task of sorting dried herbs”. This is how you know Alderpaw and his friends are trying to find food to eat. A specific scene happens when “Show me where” (Cherryfall 102 ). This setting is important because maybe he hid the food.

my book is very good so far and now I am on a new chapter I'm on chapter 5 I am a pretty slow reader.and so far this book is very of my liking I think is book is very hard but easy at the same time which is what I like about the book that I am reading. That about the cats and they were hunting the last chapter which I thought was very cool about the book.

I think this book is really good and perfect for me and I like how its very hard but easy . I love this book because its really fun to read and learn about. I love how there are cats in the book. and so far one of the cats in the book are going hunting because they are in the woods and they need food. I also like how the wording is not that hard and I can read the book.
