in the prologe it sounds like she was getting chased through the woods she sounded scared and disturbed and she was hurt. "people die there" the little girl says pointing to the ocean which people all the sound.

Tris started her training and shes very weak. Each person is scored based on how good they are which scares tris because shes weak.

they jump off train onto a building then are asked to jump into the hole. Beatrice was the first to jump. She changed her name to Tris. once they all fell they meet their instructor Four. Four shows them the pits.

Beatrice chooses to be in the dauntless leaving her family. she tries to not mind but she also always dreamed of this life.

Beatrice's parents came home for dinner and were talking about her dads work problems at the table then the kids are sent upstairs to their rooms to think about their test results.

Beatrice is finally 16 and she is ready to choose what community she wants to be in. In the first chapter she takes her test and she figures out shes divergent meaning shes apart of more than one group. She is told not to tell anyone because divergence is dangerous.
