It's clear that Terry Pratchett knew his end was coming, and was clearly on his mind, by the way he wrote the death sequence of E.W. Haunting, I have to say.

I was a bit disappointed at this book. It had a lot of promise at the end of the first book, and I really thought it might go somewhere new, but instead it followed the usual tropes - super human, saves humanity single handedly, with a small crew of (badly imagined, uninteresting) outcasts who reminds the super human of his humanity.

I'll not be following on with this series.

A murder at the White House, someone who can recognise a cyborg from OACET and a blind woman driving a high speed medevac with blues and twos? All in a day's work for Rachel Peng. Not even half way through, and I'm loving it.

Pretty good, if a bit childish so far.

It's a bit slow and dry.
