My most read author. These books hit me like crack in the 80s. I wanna drop all my current reads, go back to my roots and fall into a guaranteed good one in her honour.

First Maru, now Sophie. I need cancer to wipe out some evil people before Saturday to restore the balance. We're losing legends while vermin are rich and healthy.

Current favourite: "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?" from Hindi. It's more philosophical than "if a tree falls in the forest and noone hears it, does it make a sound?" because it questions the value in doing anything for yourself.

I know I'm supposed to be against the Superior Sister but I kind of respect her commitment. If you're gonna be the sadistic, torturous Head of a religious dystopian cult, you gotta run a tight ship. I mean...

I'm only reading this for August's book club and whoever pitched this, count your days. I take no responsibility for voting for it, lol. That's because I thought it was gonna be about a pro-childfree stance but it's written like a cope for both women who want kids but can't have any and for mothers who feels entitled to childless womens' unpaid labour to children. Booooo🍅🍅 Might DNF at 50%

Things have gotten interesting but I'm surprised that not a single person is that suspicious of Carmilla yet. Surely, everyone didn't buy that sleepwalking coverup. Still so many questions.

I'm not sure what to make of it so far. It's alright. Im neither bored nor living for the plot but it early still.

To think, I joined Sky during the Little Prince season and have only now picked up it's source material. I miss that game. It's been fun reading and mentally comparing it to how I experienced it in the game.

So far she's a more insufferable and less redeemable version of Irina from Boy Parts. I'm hoping she gives us something to work with soon.

The cat sides of the stories are amusing

I totally forgot the cover and that Chobi is a white cat. I'd been thinking of him as Black. I'm changing the law. He's a black cat now.

I like all the stories so far, but maybe I'm not a short story collection type of person.

She writes so well. I didnt expect to see an Irma story at the library but now I've picked it up, I can't look away.

I'm still holding out hope that Charles dies. Constance has no backbone. She's just jelly.
