Henry ends up running in to an adult with his girlfriends end watches them make out in secret after running away due to fear from him.

Henry was talking about his "friend" who he knew from someone else named Harry Gibson. He was known to be a boxer, but lost most of the time.

Henry re-entered high school, and had a bad reputation among the students. He felt disgusted about a kid in his school who had straight A's, but wouldn't stop drooling.

Henry went back to the hospital to get treatment for his acne, his acne was worse on the back. The doctor put some whit empower on his back saying that it will help it. Henry's mom and grandmother finds out about and claim that he is possessed by the devil. He proves them right by screaming "Get the hell out of here!".

Henry went to the hospital to get his acne treated. The doctor said that he had acne vulgaris and it was the worst case of acne he had seen. The doctor also treated a girl with a similar case of acne to his, so he was alone. Henry also saw many Mexicans at the hospital.

Henry's parents took him out of Mt Justin High School because of his bad reputation. He went to a private school with many rich people and he suffered gravely from acne.

Henry talks about a boy in his English class named Harry Walden, who was supposedly very attractive to girls and Henry's bullys never bullied him. He also talks about how he would stay home alone in secret from his parents.

Henry and his friends compare their age from the first time the got laid, he had a crush on his English teacher and found metal shop class boring.

Henry started to go to football matches between 7th vs 8th graders, he was a 7th grader but didn't play on the team. The kid also made friend whose name is Eli LaCrosse (he was known as Baldy to the rest of the school due to lack of hair). Eli introduced Henry to his father and secretly took him to a wine cellar in his house, they then began to drink a lot of wine.

Henry joined a church with a new friend named Frank, whom was born into a religious family. He found the 10am masses boring and confession even worse, because he though got mad at him for all the bad stuff he has done.

Henry's father took him out of a Saturday football game with kids from school and made him mow the lawns of their house. He was very strict with standards, the dad wanted the land to be perfect, not a single blade of grass sticking up. When Henry would mess up, his father would shout at him and even threw a two by four at him.

Henry still had no friends until he met a girl who lived next for a friend who introduced him to football. He meets them at different times. He got beat by his father because he got into a fight with a bully and then Henry found out his dad was cheating on his wife with another woman.

Henry and David stumble upon a group of bullies, they beat up David in front of Henry and said the he was next. Henry was horrified because of that, especially after secretly watching David get beat up by his mom too and being forced to play the violin. Henry and David joined a baseball match vs the bullies and David hit a home run. Very impressive for a first grader.

The author explains Henry's (the authors name in the book) relationship with his parents, they wanted to be rich, so they acted like it. He didn't have friends in school and he liked his kindergarten teacher more than his parents. He made a friend named David after he decided to share his lunch with Henry.

The author's uncle Ben has been caught smoking cigarettes by his father, they soon leave his house as they think Ben is a bad influence on the author, they think of seeing his other uncle Jack, but end up not wanting to as he is a criminal.

The author and his mom go to his uncle's house, located on the Highlands. The idea of visitation was hers, and the books says he is good looking.

The author shows an experience of visiting his grandfather, who his family didn't like because his breath stank. The authors grandparents had a lot of fruit.

Yusra is now in Serbia with her sister along with other refugees, she and a guy named Zaher begin to plot a plan on how they will cross the Serbian-Hungarian border.

After an intense boat journey from Turkey to Greece, Yusra, Sara and other refugees have made it to the Greek island of Lesbos, Yusra's cousins Nabeh and Majid try to read greek letters written on signs. The governors of the island rely highly on volunteers to give the Syrians food, water and shelter.

Yusra and Sara are on their way to leave Istambul. It takes long to decide on which boat they are going on to Greece, tensions rise between the gangs who lead the boat journeys.

A bomb has hit a nearby hotel where Yusra would stay sometimes. She has a decision to quit swimming in mind after the incident. The girl was scared for her life, thinking it could have been her. An entire soccer team died within the debris of the hotel.

After Yusra came back from Russia, the was still hasn't ended, but it has gotten worse. They move from Daraya to Damascus and start living there. Sara decided to quit swimming and started socializing with men, while Yusra was still in it.

Yusra and her family were trying to flee Daraya when rebel soldiers have caused utter chaos in the city. The mom and the dad are scared for their life's thinking that if they saw a picture of Sara with the president, they would kill them. Yusra also went to swim for Syria in an international swimming competition in Russia and won 2 bronze medals.
