This books is honestly incredible so far, it definitely had my attention from page 1 it felt like

I am making progress through this, the story of beren and luthien was incredible. Give me very strong Aragorn and Arwen vibes, this could be this the story that helped Aragorn and Arwen become a thing.

1) I absolutely LOVE Demeter as the main character
2) I’m gonna absolutely throw hands with the optimization tool for hurting Demeter like that

Okay this is actually pretty fun

A lot of names but Melkor seems to be the stand in for “evil”

And the secret fire was sent to burn at the heart of the world; and it was called Eä

Omg I have so many thoughts! This is exactly what I needed! That part with the mechanical dog, the starting character arc of Montag, the fire chief definitely knowing more than he lets on, that ending to Part One was phenomenal!
