God this is already so endearing to me I love everything happening here. After reading a book before that disappointed me like crazy and made me dread reading it, it’s so refreshing to not want to put this book down in contrast. I really love how Vandermeer writes, these descriptions are delicious.

the mc is really edgy and everyone acts like they’re in Highschool and not grad school….. but I’m interested in the story and I’m curious to see what comes next…..

not loving this so far….i really loved his children’s books as a kid but so far a glimpse at his adult fiction is letting me down. will continue reading but there are some things that are really bothering me.

I picked this one back up and I’m enjoying it a lot, I wasn’t in the right headspace when I first started it and so it was in library loan renewal purgatory for a good while. But I like what I’m reading so far and it’s pivoted in a really interesting way!
