I first thought for such a long time that Scout was Jem's little brother.

The setting of this book is so different from the books I read before. It's like I need to flick a switch in my brain to read this.

I really love the way Jupiter North character is written.

There are so many flashbacks now that I’m reading this again, and it’s such a comfort book of mine.

I KNEW IT, the shadowish creature IS bad. I'm sort of glad Konstantin figured that out. I'm still worried that Vasya is not at home right now.

Such memorable stories!

It's very interesting to read the story of this man.

I’m a little concerned for Konstantin with his little shadow friend, but I’m way more concerned for the family.

The next winter will be a MESS. And what about Vasya? Is she really going to leave?

I CANNOT keep my hands off this book.

I get so confused by all the names!? There are so many people!!

The main characters finally got to do all kinds of stuff, even though they're prisoners. I'm only a bit disappointed that the story revolves almost entirely around Cale. I would like to see some other perspectives that last longer than just a few pages. And the main story of why Cale can fight so well is a bit unrealistic in my opinion. But then again, maybe it's just not my type of book.

They finally left the big building. I like the fact that the main characters get to meet other characters, these new characters seem more important.

the story mainly takes place in the same building/environment, hopefully that will change soon. As of right now the story is a bit too dark for me.
