Literally, only eight pages in but wtf is going on with the formatting/writing of this book? Switching from first person to third person, random info dumps that break up narration, and already it’s so repetitive? We should not be using the same adjective in back-to-back sentences or reminding me of the king and who he is and his name when you literally just told me a paragraph ago. Yikes 😭

Normally I get worried if a book says it’s Gothic because that might mean the pacing is slow but I’m really loving this so far!

This is a little slow so far… hoping it picks back up!

So this is definitely a fantasy ROMANCE… like the “plot” is 75% about the relationship development between our two main characters.

Not them having to consummate their marriage in front of everyone because it’s a part of his culture lmaoooo this is wild
