this book moves at a snails pace...

off to a good start. i like the banter in this so far

This has some of the laziest writing I’ve seen in a while

So she murdered her uncle for trying to rape her (go off queen) but then shows no resistance at all to being shipped off to what she believes is a whorehouse? She’s just fine with this? Makes no sense…

Did GOT take inspiration from this? Because this man just Ramsey Boltoned his ex-lover

She falls in love with him after 4 chapters despite him not particularly giving her reason to. Still I’m liking this so far…

The twist in the last third of the book made me despise Elena tbh. I kinda want him to leave her and find someone better at this point.

I'm becoming increasingly irritated with this book. She had no love of her homeland, no memory of it. She claims to love Alegretto to the point she doesn't want to go to heaven if he isn't there. Yet she betrays him over...a book written by her grandfather she's never met???????

I'm struggling with the S/M aspect of this book which is one of the things many readers favor about it. I can't wrap my head around a 18 year old whose first and ONLY experience with sex was a rape becoming an accomplished dominatrix the very next encounter. This whle scenario would have worked better for me if she were older and had some experience previously. Also why was the rape necessary? ugh

Slow start but it's picking up now. Also I love Lady Beatrice lmaooo

it took 503 pages for him to bite this bitch...

i am enjoying this book so far and the writing is beautiful but do we really need 3 pages describing the braids of the vampire angels? just seems like the book is long for the sake of being long...
