Not bad. Enjoyed the action.

I gave this book a 1 star review the first time but I’m trying it again. I have the book in hardback (not sure why I have it if I hated it). I’m going to try again before I donate it.

Chapter 67
He gripped the shotgun in both hands. “Anyone who comes through that door dies.”

“What about someone who climbed through an upstairs window.” Victor said from behind them.

This struck me as funny. 😆

I love Victor! Last paragraph in chapter 15,

He had tried being polite.
He had tried being unthreatening.
Next, he would be himself.

Struggling with all the personal introspection, general life living that have no purpose and all the description. Gah.

Meh...I think I’ll return it...just not my cup of tea

Has some gruesome parts. Part sci fic and part psychological thriller. Started another book and was enjoying the other one when this one expired. Back on the hold list

Im struggling to understand why Celestial has made certain decisions. It’s as if she going against who she was as a person. I like Roy so much, even when he had that swagger. The beginning of this book was 5 star but now Roy is released I am not enjoying it as much. I realize Joe es is trying to show shades of grey and see Andre as someone we feel for, but it’s not working.

Struggling to finish but trying to finish.

Ok. I’m done with this one. It just doesn’t seem plausible. I won’t say why but this too hard to suspend belief.

I don’t get why Reznick stopped the hit. He stopped because the guy is wearing dog tags. No sense.

Every meal, action & thought is described. Reznick his left ear (the one without the earpiece)pressed to the floor. All he needed to say was his ear was pressed to the floor. Don’t care which and I’m going to assume it isn’t the one with the earpiece. Then he “got up and stood” well that’s what got up means..that he stood. It’s like he has a word quota.

Waiting for book 4 to come out before I start this one.
