It does have a lot of graphic details of the carnage of war, but it does bring a realization of how awful war truly is. I like the fact she brings both sides a voice, and really like the Scripture she brings in. Getting close to the end and hoping for an end on a happy note.

I like that this book continues to keep things moving, love going back to the mansion with familiar characters. It’s going to be a fast read always wanting to know what will happen next.

What a beautiful read, really enjoying the history and the romance!
