Palace of Sleep: well that was upsetting

There is No End: Very Helena Eagan coded. Yes I still think this much about characters from Severance.

The End in Sight: Anna Kavan seems like she worried a lot about being arrested or imprisoned for unknown crimes.

Machines in the Head: another short one, really good descriptions.

At Night: Nice to know that if I ever run out of Kafka there’s another writer who has a plethora of stories about the anxieties of unseen machinations ruining your life for unknown reasons.

The Summons: A nice bit of bureaucracy horror.

The Enemy: Short and sweet bit of paranoia.
Airing a Grievance: Similar in theme to the previous story, but more concrete. Both good!

Picking this back up after stopping on it a while back.

New set of short stories for me to read, not entirely where I first heard of Anna Kaven but here we go.
Going Up In The World: Almost like fairy tale or parable, a lot is suggested with little detail.

Debouchment: Interesting exercise in style.

The Great Exception: I enjoy when stories can do this sort of "unrelated people connected by location" framing.

Home: Pretty good, pretty spooky.

A bit slow going (lots of new words to note down) but I am having a lot of fun and mostly am fine understanding the grammar.

The Man In The Woods: Very mysterious and evocative, but not much to grab onto.
