I HATE the MCs. 3 days of reading and only at 22%. Have to read in small chunks until I can't take them anymore. Story would be good if any of them were tolerable.

A trip to the parks, and messing (a bit) with Jarrett. Kenzie always enjoys that pass time, but perhaps this time she'll bite off more than she can chew. Go easy on her, Jarrett? :D

Started a proper reading of this 10 minutes before it released!! Finally. This one was a little long in coming, but I hope the fans of Bijou Basin will enjoy it as much as the first two!

DNF @ 45%. Don't care enough to keep it as my falling asleep book. Soooooooo boring.

This book is so boring, I'm using it to fall asleep at nights when I can't get my mind to settle. I've heard the same start of one chapter like 3 times now, as I cock right out during it. Good for sleeping, not so good for my enjoyment.

Ugh. DNF.

I hate this book. It's so boring. I hate it, but I think I may be done with Aleron Kong. I'll probably give book 9 of the land a try because I loved 1-7 soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, but it's time to realize he's just not even trying anymore... A shame.

Even Luke Daniels isn't saving this book. I was (am is a big fat ? at this point) a HUGE fan of the 1st 7 Land books. They were fun, interesting & fast paced. Since then, there was a whole book stuck in a cave (Land #8) & 16% of a book stuck in a tree. It's TOOOOO much info dump. He needs to start listening to once-fans - as we're realizing he's not that good after all...

Ever since I read the opening lines of The Land, I've been a HUGE fan, but fame has gotten to Aleron's head, I think. Book 8 wasn't my cup of tea, and now this. Over 10% (and counting) in a TREE. Boring ass repetitive information. I was so disgusted, even Luke Daniels couldn't keep me from turning it off. Might be time to stop reading these, which would break my heart!! :(

Second books are sometimes duds for authors, but I think this book is stronger than the first. I was really able to discover the personalities of Kenzie, Ripley & Jarrett. It's a solid book, if I do say so myself. I'm reading this while jotting down anything I need to remember for Book 3.

Any guesses on the title? I'll give you two hints:

The first word does NOT start with "N"
The Second word IS "Exposure"

Didn't get through this one and Book 2 today, as I planned, but at least this one will be the last book of a crazy year.

It was bad for so many. Overall, it was more good for us than not. Still, for the sake of the world, I hope things improve in 2021, though I thing we're still on a decline before we start to turn around. See ya on the flip side.

Kenzie getting frisky with Ripley and so soon. She should feel ashamed, but she doesn't - she certainly is attracted to Ripley. Not that I blame her as the woman I perceive that looks most like Ripley is pretty smoking hot - though not classically so, since she's a bigger gal, like Ripley.

Starting a re-read, before I dive into Book 3 edits starting in Jan. Maybe it'll become tradition - re-read my books at the end of the year. (If you don't know, where have you been? I wrote this!)

5% in and I already found something I want to change... in the first few pages. SMH. So glad to get back to Kenzie and Ripley. I've missed them while I got to know Kelsea & crew from my WIP mystery. :)

I LOVED this book when I first read it. Now, having written myself, it's so bad. Ugh. The repetition of "I am" through audio is so awful. It's used nearly 700 times. That's more than once a page. Never "I'm", never using passive voice instead. But always "I am" doing this, "I am" doing that. Annoying as fuck. Was looking forward to the re-read, and I'm NOT enjoying it as I first did. Tell, tell, tell, no show...

Started this at midnight and I'm super worried for the first time in the series. I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan. I've listened to all the books multiple times and have enjoyed them all. Though he's always had haters I've never listened to, it's the negative opinions of the fans that worries me about this book. Hope I can find some enjoyment where other loyal fans haven't...

Listening to the "Harry Potter at Home" because why the hell not?!

Chapter 1 read by Daniel Radcliffe

Rereading this mammoth of a book in anticipation of Book 8's release, which while out today (1/1/20). I'll be waiting on the audiobook, because The Land just isn't complete without Nick Podehl.

Listened to the first half hour of this before sleeping and was wildly entertained. Confused about the page count (348 on Kindle) verses the audio length - at only 5 hours. Doesn't quite match up but whatever. I'll take it. Only annoying thing on audio is the repetitive email headers, could do without that.

This book is so god damn boring. UGH. Sometimes I hate reading books for challenges. Can't wait to be done with it, not soon enough.

Felt like a re-read! Looooove the Bobs!!

Still dislike this book. It's soooooo dull and the characters are horrible, not a likable one among them. Disappointing. Can't wait to get through the last of this so I can move on to better books.

OMG this book is dull as fuck. Sticking with it for a challenge or would have DNF before 20%.

On my 12th wedding anniversary, treating myself with a favorite. Always always love coming back to St Mary's. I adore Max!
