Equitan - “Anyone willing to listen to reason could profit from this cautionary tale. Evil can easily rebound on him who seeks another’s misfortune”

Guigemar - Aw I loved this, a knight and a woman fall in love. He rescues her, classic!

Just realized Marlowe knew my name… he wrote, read, and said my name, that’s the craziest coincidence I’ve ever come across. It fascinates me how this world works…

Imagine being burned for heresy. just… wow

“All revealed religions, Marlowe was accused of saying, were devices used to control and exploit the ignorant masses by making them believe in fables” — I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, Marlowe was ahead of his time.

Marlowe was a genius. His childhood circumstances make his, what seems natural genius, even more intriguing.

Hell yeah Christopher Marlowe

This is on pause for the time being

wow, I just finished book 2. it was intense and simultaneously beautiful in its descriptions of sorrow, panic, and pure rage, incredible storytelling

sigh

Wildes De Profundis is an incredible depiction of a codependent and isolating relationship. I stop every few sentences or paragraphs to ruminate. It’s also incredibly interesting how Wilde wrote about Life imitating Art, then meets a person similar to Dorian. I just love how Wilde writes, in a way it’s how I think in my head, but can never form the words for myself. It’s beautiful
