Ok, kind of enjoying this currently

OFC this man decided to say "f*ck it" at like 3am and I certainly couldn't just go to sleep then.

Shit this has gotten super interesting. I struggled to connect at first but now it's 3am and I should've been asleep 2 hours ago. Also that dream/memory was hot af 👀

Admittedly I've sat on this book for a while. For whatever reason that first chapter wasn't roping me in but once I hit Chapter 2 I've basically been sucked in. Pun intended 😅

Stayed up til 2am on 8.16 reading. Literally had to force myself to go to sleep because otherwise I'd have stayed up to finish it. The spice is 🥵. The yearning is 🔥. The tension is unreal and right now I'm questioning exactly how this is going to end because we are just knee deep in the middle of some b.s. and I only have 20% to go?! Anyway, finishing this right now. I have to.

Did i stay up until 5am reading? Yes I did. Do i regret it? Absolutely tf not. In fact, I went and preordered it today 😂 The perfect mix of spice, yearning and humor for me currently. Kinda obsessed.

I'm bored out of my mind. The narrator isn't engaging in the slightest. I feel as though the story has the potential to be interesting but it's not grabbing me. Going to DNF for now and maybe try again closer to the due date for this one.

This got old quick with the body hopping and telling me the issue w everyone. Idk quite how to explain it best. It gave me massive anxiety though 😅

I just love T. Kingfisher's imagination. It's like walking into the coolest damn fairytale for adults with some of the most clever characters and storylines. A giant pillbug that speaks using an old music box?! WHO THINKS OF THAT?! An imaginative genius, that's who!

I've spent over half of the book utterly confused. Unfortunately it's just so peculiar I can't help but to keep going because I'm convinced it'll click and I'll have an amazing lightbulb moment. I better anyway....

Invested from the get, wtf is going on?!

A little off putting at first but didn't take me long to be interested. I don't feel overly invested yet.

I am seriously struggling with the narration. Which i don't understand because when this narrator is narrating under their other name there is so much inflection and personality put into it. This feels like a newscaster, like I'm waiting for her to announce a touchdown or say there's breaking news and it makes it hard to concentrate on the story. The tone is so odd.

Not enjoying this narrator whatsoever, I feel like I'm listening to a newscaster read a book.

Loving this so far! I adore her sense of humor the most.
