Shelby moved to a new town for a fresh start, creates a neighborhood book club, and starts working at a bookstore (break from Real Estate). She also has a love interest. The women in the book club are drastically different however get along.. the best they can. They all have secrets and some are coming to the light. I am enjoying this book, definitely different in comparison to other’s I’ve read but interesting.

As maternal instincts kick in, Evie questions keeping the baby, but holds up her end of the bargain. Leaving the filling station, they move back into their rebuilt Greenwood home with Elijah. Overwhelmed by trauma, Evie nearly leaves, questioning her return. Meanwhile, Margaret walks the town taking in what used to be a thriving community & helps Elijah rebuild their father's store as they prepare to start over.

Evie gets pregnant, and Margaret steps in to protect Evie’s future by offering to mother the baby and marrying Elijah. While healing from the trauma of the massacre and learning to love again, Margaret builds a life with Elijah—who truly loves her and believes God brought them together. They move into his home while Elijah finishes rebuilding their Greenwood house and their father's store.

The sisters face deep trauma— ongoing violence, identity, grief and loss, etc. While Greenwood slowly rebuilds, the loss of Miss Pearl to fever is another blow. Margaret struggles to reconcile her faith in God. And while Elijah opens up about his past and feelings toward Margaret, leading to better understanding, they clash over her intense drive to return to Greenwood as Elijah cares for Margaret’s health.

Things are getting tense! Mia and Justin attended an intimate neighborhood event, and the fascination with Mia—especially from Amy—is getting a bit uncomfortable and hasn't gone unnoticed by Justin. There’s jealousy and envy bubbling up between the couples—especially Kelly. Mia and Justin are still playing it safe. I’m looking forward to see where this is all going, but not bad thus far.

Justin is weirded out by variety of different things that have thrown him off since moving into their neighborhood (old lady, camera in intimacy room, neighbors).Julian is off to summer camp, Justin furnishes a secret intimacy room for himself in Mia’s desires. They are considering “mingling” with the people… possibly Brittany and Brad. Justin isn’t too sure about the whole thing, but slowly swaying.

45 pages into The Sixth Couple and I’m hooked! The neighborhood seems too perfect, and it’s honestly creepy how infatuated everyone is with Mia and Justin. There are definitely some dark secrets and weird dynamics hiding behind this facade. Really enjoying the writing style so far.

With everything going in, Maggie realizes Ridge’s love is really just a need to protect her (life expectancy). Sydney moved out, but the pull to Ridge remains—they’ve reconnected! Ridge speaking after 15 years for her is a huge moment, but the timing feels so messy. Sydney is questioning the validity of his feelings given the fresh breakup with Maggie. WHEWWW.

Wow, so much has happened—Ridge asked Sydney to move out, Maggie's medical emergency, and things only escalated from there. They finally confessed their love for each other, but after Maggie discovered their messages and left, Ridge now wants Sydney out immediately. I'm left feeling completely torn trying to make sense of all the emotions in this household. I feel for all 3. Can't wait to read what happens next..

omgg, Ridge is kicking Sydney outtt. Ugh the feels. I know it’s tough though. It sucks that his girlfriend Maggie is sooo sweet and likable.

Cliff hanger! Guess I’ll see what happens next… later.

Sooo far, sooo good. It’s sweet to see Ridge opening up, even if they're both trying so hard to resist. The situation with his girlfriend… and Sydney needing time to heal makes it all pretty complicated. I really like them together already!Warren is definitely catching onto the two, wheww. Mane, poor sweet Maggie—it’s such a tough spot to be in!
Curious as to how things will pan out from this point…

Started this book today and so far so good. I like the connection between Ridge and Sydney, despite the fact that initially they are both in relationships. I I’m not one to support cheating, which I hope is not in store, however looking forward to reading more.

Ford and Rosie are slowly coming to terms with their feelings for each other, although reluctant to fully acknowledge it. Both seem to struggle with their attraction due to different reasoning, creating an intriguing tension. Ford’s daughter, Cora, playfully notices the connection and drops hints, which is super amusing to me. I find Ford and Rosie’s dynamic really cute, and I’m enjoying the book so far!

The narrative is quite dense and sometimes chaotic. The range of perspectives and complex dynamics among the characters can be overwhelming, making it difficult to fully engage with the story. I appreciate the intricate themes of art and human connection amidst crisis, yet the pacing often feels erratic. I’ll set this book aside for now and return when I’m in the right mindset to appreciate its depth and nuance.

Tate was devastated when a video, which she believed Jared had sent, surfaced. Questioning his recent kindness, she lashed out, even damaging his car. But the video was actually sent by Jared's ex, who had stolen his phone. They eventually uncovered the truth and reconciled. Can you say dramaaaa? Also causing Tate to experience a whirlwind of conflicting emotions! I hate that for her 😕

Tate and Jared have come together. He allowed her to drive his car, seems to be something out of the ordinary. After Tate breaks into Jared’s bedroom, he find her and things get a bit…spicy. Jared finally admits his love for her. Eventually Jared gives some insight on his actions over the years and info as to where his scars came from (father). Madoc and Jared take Tate to prom. Madoc means to mend relationship.

Reminds me a Wattpad romance. But then again maybe that’s what I was expecting. From enemies to lovers? Interesting take, however typical. I like Tate’s resistance in a sense. What’ll happen with Madoc? Other than that black eye lol. Will Jared’s shell crack? Eventually… to be continued
