Dropping this book. Too graphic for me. Impressive worldbuilding.

Haven't read any Gaiman before. So far, this dude lives in the area of "spooky" that I'm just fine with.

Seems like a killer Halloween-y read.

Very odd so far. Can’t say I’m not disappointed…

My first four thoughts reading through this for the first time:
-I hate the way that the reader says "Irene." He says "I-Rene-e"
-This girl is not 8 years old. She's more like 4-6 in her mannerisms
-The old lady is bad news
-Fairytale done right (especially like the bit about why humans wear shoes)

Fitting for the temptations of the dialectical age we live in.

Really love Wilson’s exposition on Christ and the apostles’ use of Sarcasm. His versions of their statements show just how much punch the originals hold.

This is Wilson at his absolute writing best.

I need help. So far, this book is deep dumb. What's the pull?

This book lacks heart, plot, and dignity. Major, major disappointment.

No judging - the cover to this is terrible but it was a recommended series by the McIntoshes.

Anyways, Ethan and I just watched the Amazon series and loved it.

Actually reading this, this time. It's been sitting on my shelf for years. Robinson is an author who requires complete attention from her readers, as she hops timelines without any courtesy to her audience.
But I will read this book.

I thought I liked this one best, but clearly not. In a weird turn of events, the movie is more engaging and well-paced than the book.

Took me a while to get through it. I always hate when Ron and Harry fight.

This will statistically take me quite a while.
