😏😏😏😏😏😏 omg WHOOOOOWEEEE. Seeing Killian be just complete mush is so adorable. The tension between these 2 has been so thick the whole book, it’s nice to finally see this wall down. The second party……wow. That’s all I have to say.

At first, I did not like Killian. I wasn’t vibing with his energy. But, now that him and Sylvie are “together” their energies feed off of each other soo well. I am looking forward to seeing him turn to mush for Sylvie which he already kind of has. I mean come on, the scene where she’s lost in town and he picks her up……omggg

First chapter, I’m intrigued.

I kind of liked Olive before she realized she liked Adam. She was just very care free and, in a sense, independent. Now, everything is relating back to Adam in a way. Even with this being said, it’s very relatable! Super excited to see how the conference pans out and Adam and Olive potentially sharing a room. 😏😏😏

I like Olive! She seems so nerdy yet confident and I am excited to read this he falls first troupe. I think it’s going to be sooooo cute. Also looking forward to reading more about Olive’s personal life. You can tell she’s holding back a lot and I think Adam will get her to open up!!!

I have not been able to put this down all day. I’ve just been so eager to find out if/how Nick finally tells Lily who he is!!! Also the sexual tension between these two! 10/10. Obviously Lily is in denial about her feelings for Nick, but I do think she genuinely thought she could put her feelings aside and be friends with Nick. Mad it took Nick so long AND HE KEPT KISSING HER and still hadn’t told her the truth.

So far it’s ok. Interesting because the book is going back and forth between the MC’s Lily and Nick. But, it is not in first person which I am not use to. It was hard at first to get into but got easy quickly. I like how the book started off w their emails. Maybe Nick is a huge lover boy, but him being so obsessed w Lily is kind of weird when they never met. I’m hoping he grows more on me 🤞🏽

I was nervous reading a YA story because I feel “old” and disconnected BUT, this story is reallllllly cute. Of course Wes is just amazing. Also, the moment when he held Liz’s sweatpants up by the band at the party….kind of hot. Feel gross saying that about a high schooler though :/. On a more serious note, I am feeling for Liz and her pain with losing her mom and her working through her emotions.

Obviously Alexis and Daniel are going to end up together. I think it would be great if she became chief and opened a hospital in Wakan and helped serve rural areas. Looking forward to that story development. I also love Bri. She is the exact friend Alexis, and any girl needs! Giving her the talk about breaking up with Daniel was so real, even though it sucked she was 100% right and we all need a friend like that.

Really like this book so far!! The FMC and MMC aren’t insufferable and I love the small town vibes Wakan and Daniel are giving. It’s also refreshing to have the chasing coming from the man and hearing him try and talk himself out of the feelings he has for Alexis. I’m eager to see where this whole housing story is going with both of them SOL with their living situations 😏

Omg so much is happening. Really enjoying Meryns trip to Astreona. I am having a much better time visualizing as they travel through the city and as we met Siphons. The storyline is developing nicely as well. We are learning more about Siphon history as well as the storyline about the Brightbane family. Still not sure if I believe Lucien and if his motives are pure, but for some reason I think I believe him.

A lot is happening!!!! Meryn is definitely starting to mature and take on her role as Queen. I am absolutely loving her shadebending capabilities and how dark they can get. I’m not sure if this already stated but, Stark seems to have some control over the shadows. I don’t know if it’s just his nodding approval that makes them worse or if he can actually control them to an extent….? Idk

Compared to the first book, we are learning a lot of things and quickly being given clues/answers which is nice, keeping me intrigued. And the answers are not enough to answer over arching lure. I do not trust Saela. I think the original Siphion who turned her is having her lie about hearing voices. It seems Killian would be the obvious choice but, who knows. STARK AND MERYN FUCK ALREADY GD!

Picked up right where we ended with DireBound. Of course Meryn is loathing in self pity at how stupid and naive she has been, and I don’t really blame her bi just hope this doesn’t continue too long. Really like reading Starks POV and the tension brewing between the two of them 😏😛. Excited to keep reading!!

It’s starting to get good!! I feel a sense of disconnect from Meryn. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but with other books I almost feel as if I am the MC, but with this, I feel like I am watching Meryn.

More hidden messages are being revealed and I have broken out post-it’s!! I am glad her and Anassa have connected, I think Anassa will be the key to understanding Meryn’s hallucinations and voices.

Really enjoying the book so far. It is very Fourth Wing coded, just sub the dragons for wolves. I am eager to keep reading and find out how Meryn navigates her new role as a Bonded, and also looking forward to finding out more about Anassa. I feel like there is something deeper between her and Meryn and is the reason their relationship is so rocky.

It was getting a little better, but then got worse. One thing I am liking as the book goes on is the personal connections Roy is forming with patients. I can start to see that there is going to be a sentimental side to the book. I think we are starting to get to the point where the book is going to bring in overarching life lessons about medicine.

It is not going well. It is very hard for me to stay engaged, I only get interested when Roy refers to medical cases, and those are barely keeping my interest. It is very dry humor and is clearly written many decades ago. I am trying to bear through the weird commentary between Roy and the other doctors but it’s difficult. Really hoping it picks up.
