Wow. Haven’t finished it yet, but it’s concerning how increasingly relevant this book from 1948 is becoming. The entirety of what I’ve read has been just amazing. I can’t wait to finish it, probably after I finish The Trial.

I’ve read about 58%. I got to the part where (spoiler) shoots (spoiler) and leaves them with the baby twins. I don’t know why, but I totally abandoned the book, but after all the first part was amazing and it got so much worse for so long. To be quite honest, I haven’t heard good things about the second half so I might have to quit it but it was overall an incredible book from what I read.

It slowed down and had no evidence of ever getting better, as supported by many people who say the second half is way worse than the first. However, this was a very compelling, incredible book.
