Not enjoying this. Characters flat. Story full of silly overly nonsensical conversations, some which have on occasion elicited a chuckle from me. Almost complete, but it's been a slog.

Not quite halfway through this book and not a fan. The conversation is stilted and, as a person who wants something to be at least reasonably believable even if it is total fiction, there is no way an ER nurse would be wearing a ring while on duty. I almost gave up when that was pointed out in the story. There are some small things in a story that the author should really work harder on getting right.

As I read this passage about Ivy stating that she never craved friendship with other women and she did not believe platonic friendship could exist with men. My sentiments exactly.

A lot of similarities with the Hunger Games - too many for my liking at the start of the novel. Hoping for something better as I progress.
