Reminds me of a lot of the older sci-fi I’ve read; probably because it inspired a lot of the older sci-fi I’ve read.

Home stretch, this is brutal

Well written and needed information about the haunting state of affairs in Europe directly after the end of WW2.

Just don’t know how many brutal atrocities I can read about, and I’m only 80 pages in

Taking a little longer than I’d like, but really really enjoying this. The perspective being from that of an insane man is what truly makes this stand apart

Holy shit this rocks

Most fun I’ve had reading in a bit, nonstop action with characters that pop off the page.

Suicide squad with vampires, werewolves, necromancers and more; it sells itself.

Taking me a bit but not at all reflective of how much I’m enjoying it. Wilde’s talent is evident on every page and he clearly knows that. With any other writing I’d be annoyed at constant monologues about art and the folly of man, but I’ve found myself reading each one twice.

Lot’s of interesting stuff.

Could be the difference between western and eastern thought that’s tripping me up, but it’s tough how definitively many of these claims are made without evidence

So good so far. Sanderson does a great job of getting you up to speed; which is huge when there are four 1000+ page books preceding this.

Haven’t had the time to read as much as I’d like but loving it so far. Everything you want from a McCarthy book, with a good bit more emotion compared to some of his other works.

Really enjoying it so far, surprisingly sweet

(Audiobook) A good book but such a slog. I definitely didn’t do my research because I thought this was more a look into our first experiences with cancer as a species, not in-depth 1950’s medical history.

Just as good as Ishmael so far, but a lot more hopeful.

So cool, maybe the first time I’ve actually felt like I’m acquiring a skill while reading a book.

Awesome so far, really cool conceptually.
