I feel so sad for Wilbur :(. This book is going to make me sob.

I am transfixed by this book.

Omg. I have forgotten to update because it has been so BUSY. But a great read !!

I’m feeling the intrigue! Baxter is a great character.

The premise seems interesting so far! I think the preoccupation with dentistry is a bit strange, but perhaps it is a fascinating topic to some. I love the element of the hallucinations.

I have small little blips in time to denote to this book, but I am always, always grateful for them. I tear up listening to her speak so passionately about the simplest things.

What a compelling story. I wish I wrote more when I was younger :(

I’m shocked by how wonderful both the writing and illustrations are simultaneously. I suppose I did not realize that these two elements could exist at once, in harmony. That one must trump or overpower the other.

I need to finish this before 10AM tomorrow. It’s 2:22AM right now.

I am going to try and finish this thing in the bus tmr.. wish me luck.

I am really dropping the ball on school work this weekend. I have written off both Fri and Sat and I feel awful about it, even thinking about the amount of work accumulated for tomorrow.

I found this Audiobook after finishing ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’. I figured I’ll give it another go and have a listen while I’m vacuuming :)) I love her voice.

I have 12 minutes left in this Audiobook - I cannot imagine how it will wrap up .. I am so nervous for Jeanette and so hopeful for her and. Yeah.

Reading this on a Kindle! It’s quite nice. I don’t understand the historical aspects about the mutinies in Britain and etc… but I’m interested to know more about Billy Budd.

I forgot to update that I’m reading it but I started on the 14th. It’s ok - I’m nearing the end now. I understand that it would make a good play / musical, but .. a movie? Idk.

Unpacking childhood trauma ..

This is kind of cruel. Why hasn’t she had her justice yet? What is taking these people so long to do their jobs? It has been like a decade this point .. I never thought we would make it so far outside of her murder.

I don’t know how this spiral will stop. It will have to come from within her, not outside intervention. But I hope it happens soon. With such an intimate read, I feel close to her. I don’t want people to judge her. I want someone to see her then like we, as readers, do now.

Almost at the halfway point, I suppose. I am trepidatious because I feel the same discomfort with Jeanette growing up that she describes. It’s just .. hard to separate from the youthful image she clings to. I want it to work for her and protect her. But it can’t. Above all I just want her to be free.

I am reading it out loud because it is difficult to process on the page. I saw a similar review stating that it should be narrated and not listened to with too much intensity.

I cried again. And I think the actions of the mother are disgusting.

The details are continuing to become more and more disturbing. I’m hooked, though. I loved ICarly and Sam and Cat as a child, and it’s just terrible to know what it put her through. I would take it all back if I could. I might re-watch to see if I can notice the signs.

I just reached section three, and we’re no longer at Nickel? Which makes me sad :( I miss the characters and I want to know the resolutions to their stories. I hope we get to return, but I know we won’t. I just have to adjust to this new Ellwood now.

I’m trying to change the edition to match mine? Idk

I decided to just take the chapter I’m at (9) and get the percentage. Loving it.
