We see a lot of the trial and how Kya's lawyer is really good. I feel that the sheriff doesn't have that much evidence and they're trying to hide it. I really think Kya didn't kill him my only real question is who did the guys that were fishing at 1am saw if it wasn't her who was it. I feel that even though I don't think it's Kya, there's definitely a killer. Could it be Chase's wife? We haven't really heard of her.

Kya is in a trial because the people think she killed Chase. I don't believe she killed him. We get to see some of the story about Chase trying to abuse her, then Kya meets up with Tate and talks about how she should go to Greenville to meet her editor, which if she does she could have killed Chase. I think Tate was the one that killed Chase because he wanted to get revenge for Kya. He seemed mad.

Kya is not alone and finally the book looks good for Kya. She has a chance of being with Tate, Jodie was back and brought the news about mom. We hear the real story which I think Kya didn't matter that much since she had lost her long time ago. The Chase murder is still a mystery but Kya is not in the clear yet even though I don't think she killed him or that's what they want us to think.

Tate finally has the courage to go with Kya again but Kya can't forgive him but I get why. But what we hear from tate is very deep what chase did and if Kya finds out its true what will she do I fell the best thing she could do is break up with chase and go with battle because tate actually cares about her not like chase but I feel like this will take a big while for Kya to realize and to forgive Tate.

Kya was left hart broken because Tate didn't come back, so she dicided to quit trying to love someone cause they always eded up break her heart. Even though Tate never stopped loving her, but she ended up falling in love with Chase the guy that 4 years latter was found dead. This makes me think she could be the one that killed him maybe he broke his heart again. I think Tate will try to win Kya back.

Kya has a good relationship with Tate. He teaches her a lot and enjoys the same things they even open up to each other about their family and then they fall in love and are now boyfriends which i think that tate is gonna be judged a lot by the town because of this. There's another story about a murderer and the rumors in the town say it is Kya. I feel like this will affect her future. It feels like a countdown.

Pa isn't that bad after all when he's not drunk, he and Kya were having a good time and Pa even taught her some stuff until pa started drinking again and left for good. Kya met Jumpin and he kinda took kya in as family and started helping her. I think that is a really good connection. Kya then says that maybe Ma would never return and some dreams should just fade away which I think is a reference for the Psalm book.

Kya slowly sees his family leaving his house. I think it is because of his dad he might be abusive, and it tells us about how he is an injured ex-marine and that's the only income of the family plus he gambles so they are kinda poor. Kya’s dad is also very careless of her so she doesn’t go to school and eats very little. Kya is suffering but at the end we see how she finds a boy which I think is her last hope.

Dex thinks he's lost at the end and says he doesn't know what to do now but at the end we see the author say that crickets sounded which I think I mean it doesn't really mean that it just means that Dex had finally gotten what he wanted and what he needed. I feel like after this Dex and Mosscap are gonna stay together and try different stuff knowing they will always be there for each other.

The author shows us Mosscap and Dex cooking but we see a lot of questions and we see how Mosscap has a lot of doubts which are answered by Dex but Dex on the other hand is feeling more safe comfortable around mosscap. We also hear about Dex family which got me thinking why haven't we really heard a lot of the family I mean did he lived with them a lot of time and them he just leaves and forgets about them.

I think when they were fixing the barril and Dex kept going through stuff until he found the duct tape the author was trying to tell us that sometimes we gotta push through stuff to find what we want and just because you don't get it on the first one don't give up. I also liked a lot when Mosscap says that everyone thinks they are the exception which is sibi and I believe is a modern day problem also.

I really liked the title for chapter number 4 an object, and an animal. This is describing Dex and Mosscap at the end of the day that's kinda what they are. When Mosscap offers to help Dex, they deny it really strongly which makes me believe that's a reason why the robot likes Dex, they actually think about the robots. The other thing I fell that connects them is that the robot is an it they are both different.

We see how Dex is becoming what he wanted becoming a great tea monk and loved by the city but even though all this love he still feels like something is missing. We see how Dex is always looking for something new. Maybe he's looking for something that doesn't exist "crickets" he doesn't like to be comfortable or normal and stay doing the same thing he likes to expand his knowledge and grow it to the sides.

We get introduced to Dex a they/them pronounce that I feel like he's kinda lost cause he wants to leave of the city but he doesn't have a good plan he just leaves and tries opening his tea business. We saw him with his first customer and he was making a mess. We can clearly see that he was really under prepared and was desperate for a change. I think he won't quit what he's trying to do but he needs to improve fast.

It finishes with the conversation ending and I feel like the american offended we don't know if he's armed but at the end we notice how they never stop judging and they leave us with a question on what happens next if the american and Changez fight or end up just agreeing and being friends. We see how really all the book is about stereotypes and how Changez once lived in America he doesn't like it.

He returns to Pakistan and now accepts who he's true identity and he had become a critic of america because of the attacks against pakistan.

This is for me the breaking point Changez goes on a work trip and is struggling because he's worried about Erica. He also knows he's becoming someone he doesn't want to be. He also meets Juan who helps him find out and take the decision of what he wants to do and he decides to quit his job and fly back to New York meaning he's probably gonna lose his visa and will likely have to return to Pakistan.

Changez goes back to Pakistan and thinks his house looks poor. He decides to grow his beard which makes it so people treat him differently which is something you can see on modern day and you realize how true it is. When he returns to New York, airport security treats him like a bad guy, and people stare at him like he did something wrong. Erica goes to a mental clinic because she is too sad about her dead boyfriend.

We see how hes relationship with Erica is growing and going better but when Changez thought it was the right moment to kiss her she just stood there in shock. I am really sure that Erica hasn't moved on from his boyfriend which makes me believe that's why they are gonna break up. We can also see how his job is going because he says that he was reaching the class his father was in which means he's getting good money.

At the start he gives us a clue of what this chapter is about flying bugs that hit stuff. Then he goes on to talk about how someone saw him with envy because of his expensive car and we can see how he's actually enjoying his wealth and job. Then during a trip he sees the news about 911 happening and since then people treat him differently even the airport security. Will he go back to Lahore because of this?

We see how the relationship between him and Erica continues and they look really happy. I really don't know what is gonna happen for them to fall apart, maybe it's just time. At the end of the chapter when the lights go out we can still see how the person from us in the tea shop is still scared which is weird cause they've been talking for a while and it surprised me that he offered him alcohol.

He changes the story every chapter. He likes to compare stuff from his experience when he was in the USA to Pakistan. For example, when the girl showed skin he compared it to how in Pakistan that never would happen. He almost never talks about people in Pakistan which makes me think it could be because he didn't have friends in Pakistan. Is all of this is gonna lead up to something or are they just RANDOM stories

For me this book is going kinda slow, and I don't really like it that much. He talks to a person from the USA, they are in Pakistan in a tea place that Changez the main character owns. Changez tells the story about when he went to the US to live where he studied at Princeton. Changez tells him about the interview he had for a job since he needed the money cause his family has slowly been losing all their money.

In the end I felt bad for David’s family because of uncle Frank killing himself. I feel it was to avoid shame and being in prison, in the end the dad did the correct thing to do as a sheriff, but I think many people could believe he did the wrong thing because it was his brother. I know this is a really life changing story for David and that the once perfect image he had of his uncle is gone.

A lot of people in the town don't want to believe what Frank is doing. Frank used to be idolized by the town and to hear this news I think it's not easy. When Frank tries to escape the responsibilities we could see how dangerous this situation really is. I feel like David has really matured a lot and is always trying to get more involved on the problem and the things he once thought are cool are now changing.

I feel like David's house is getting tense, and his family might fall apart soon. I think Wes might finally make the hard decision of arresting Frank even if it's gonna affect the family. It feels like something big and maybe changes the story a lot, and I feel like David was seeing his world change and it’s also changing him. The spark uncle Frank ones had is now for sure gone and he's under pressure.

We learn that Marie dies and when David comes to the house everybody is sad except Frank. I think Frank was trying to convince everyone that it's normal for people to die like that which makes me feel suspicious about him. We also see David realize how hard the job of his dad can be because he needs to inform the family of the people who die. And at the end we find out that Frank was in town when Marie died.

I think this is where David is maturing through the story and starts to realize that something is really wrong with Uncle Frank .Marie is scared of Frank, and I feel like that shows Frank isn’t who everyone thought he was. David’s parents are arguing very often about what to do, and I can tell the family is starting to break apart because the environment they once had that was happy is starting to disappear.

We see how Marie gets better but the house feels quiet without her and I feel that the fact that they haven't called uncle Frank to check her raises his suspicion. In this part we see how David is trying to be more involved. He tries to be in the conversation with his dad, he asks his mom about what's going on but they don't really tell him the full truth. We end this part with the introduction to the grandfather.
