Trying so hard not to dnf this book rn. The FL is insufferable and incredibly impulsive and naïve. She has made so many predictably bad decisions by this point and I’m struggling to like her. She has the thought process of a teenager. The fact that she revealed her dragon wild card so early only for it to IMMEDIATELY backfire was so infuriating that I nearly returned the book then and there.

WHAT?!? He has no right to be upset?!?!
You’ve been internally monologueing for the past week over whether or not to tell him he died and you have the audacity to be offended at his feeling of betrayal?!? Get fucked

This section is incredibly boring and slow. Also grey is being such a little bitch right now about telling the truth! Ugh!!!!

Hoping at this point that the title of the book is going to happen by the end of

The self pity party is getting old…

Zoe feels a bit like she was inspired by one of those hinge prompts I’ve been seeing guys write lately. “I’m looking for someone who - is clumsy and has no sense of direction”. Ew.

Thought the cringe was getting better at around 20% but now at 34% I’m back to considering DNF. It’s sweet and the characters are fun but the amount of half finished sentences that are obviously used as a poor plot devices to encourage “cutesy” miscommunications is making me want to throw my phone. Also, the night gown thing pissed me off.

Need to take a break from the bs

So far I am REALLY struggling with the amount of naivety the MC is STILL operating under. I am really disappointed at the lack of character growth in this department and if anything it feels even WORSE than the last one. I’m rolling my eyes or yelling at the pages what feels like every few sentences. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t trust a single thing she speaks, thinks, or does.

Easiest synopsis of this book: Lest see how many wrong decisions the MC can make. It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to chuck my phone into a large body of water this badly

Pg 31: Who even is this Hal guy?? So far the dynamic between the two characters makes no sense to me. They have seen each other a total of, what, three times now and he’s already guilt tripping her and declaring she is his “moonlight”?? *Barf* I’m really irritated by his existence in the book at all currently. Rather than an alternative love interest I couldn’t be less interested in their interactions.

Alright. I love the dystopian, but there’s a few inconsistencies with the main character’s way of thinking
