Vicki Carbone is 50% done with Havah: The Story of Eve
One of the best, and saddest, books I've ever read. This is the story of Eve and details her creation, time in paradise, expulsion from paradise, and her life after. The prose is elegant, almost poetry at times. This story evoked visceral feelings in me. I am really loving the book and the writing, but it is a hard story to read.

A little like Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Very philosophical. Also VERY good. I'm having a hard time putting it down!

I won Undaunted Courage in a Goodreads giveaway. I am loving it. However, the print is small and the writing is dense. Think textbook. Ambrose is a stellar historian, and his writing is interesting and illuminating. This book probably should be required reading in any AP American History class, as well as American history classes at the college level. I am enjoying it, but it will be a long read.

I got this book from a Goodreads giveaway. I have to admit that it was initially hard to get into. The premise that the entire world would put aside their differences because its leaders would realize that they were self-destructing seemed improbable. But I've got to say that it's gotten really interesting and I'm enjoying it. Lots of characters, so it's hard to follow, but worth it.

Because this is an advance reader's copy, I'm reviewing it before I've finished it. It is incredible; so much so that I will go back and read the precursor. This is dystopian literature at its finest showing a post-apocalyptic United States. I'm still piecing it together and loving every minute of it. Get a copy and curl up! You'll enjoy it.

Amazing! Rooting for Lily; crying for Pria. This may be Anderson's best book yet -- and her To Hell and Back books made me a fan for life!

Gave up! While it appears that Martin meant to write this as if it's a translated history done by a maester, I simply couldn't get into it enough to want to read it. I'll try again in the summer.

Enjoying this gift from Goodreads immensely. It IS a little stereotypical: the coal mine's boss preys on young girls, the poor orphan is mistreated, the young son is intellectual and misunderstood. However, it is an engrossing read and I'm enjoying it.

Vicki Carbone is on page 219 of 281 of A Life Everlasting: The Extraordinary Story of One Boy's Gift to Medical Science
I was lucky enough to win an uncorrected proof of this book. This memoir of the death of Mrs. Gray's six day old infant son (one of twins) explores in depth the world of organ and tissue donation and speaks to the urgent need for donations, not just for transplantation, but also for research. Thomas Ethan Gray may have saved more lives, even given his short time on earth, than any of us can dream.

This book is absolutely amazing. I can't praise it strongly enough. Torn between reading it at a dead run because I can't stop, and reading it oh, so slowly, because it is worth savoring.

Creepy. Never explored a world from the perspective of multiple monsters. Trying not to speed read, even though I'm dying to see who will be the victims and who the victors.

Wonderful, amazing read. While I want to strangle Lilly (doesn't she know what she HAS), I also understand who strong the pull of a new and interesting stranger can be.
