Supply chain affect on finance & competitive strategy. There are 6 logistical and cross-functional drivers including facilities, inventory, transportation, information, sourcing, and pricing. There are trade-off for each decisions, balance between responsiveness and efficiency. Each affects on other drivers. For facilities, consider capacity, location, types, level of flexibility.

I’m just finish chapter 2 discuss about the strategy fit and scope of SC performance. It just describe the essential of supply chain strategy fit with the company overall success. Then how to fit SC strategy with the competitive strategy, there will be some trade-off to serve customer and it base on the product as well. Discuss about the scope of supply chain in each department should align with SC overall

I finish the first chapter and seen it give the overall view to help me understand the supply chain. It discuss the supply chain goal and success of firm base on supply chain decision. It includes 3 key decision phases, cycle and push/pull supply chain view. All supply chain decision base on 3 supply chain macro processes.
