LIT BROM IS SUCH A NONCHALANT AND CHALANT GUY WITH A MYSTERIOUS BACKSTORY THAT I NEED TO KNOW. Also, SARIPHINA IS SADSY LITERALLY LOVE HER. Bro I think I’m in love with this book. Like it’s low-key giving Fourth Wing at least the binding of the dragon and rider. Like with the thoughts and communication. BUT LIKE WITHOUT THE SPICE WHICH IS CHEFS KISS. Honestly I think I’m in love with this type of fantasy. Like just high fantasy that’s just about friendships and adventures and OBVIOUSLY DRAGONS. Except the politics are very hard to get through.

Continuing..Hawthorne actually makes me sick ESPECIALLY HIS DRAWINGS. I thought I was going to throw up. LIKE EW. ALSO THE FACT THAT EMELINE DIDNT THINK IT WAS WRONG LIKE HUH? ALSO THE MAGIC SYSTEM IS SO WACKY AND CONFUSING. ALSO WHAT WAS THAT ENDING? WHAT WAS THAT EPILOGUE? I DIDNT UNDERSTAND SQUAT. Also Hawthorne, a tree? Bro what? Bro I think my fav character was Rooke and Lament, a shiftling and a horse.

So..I think this might be the most confusing, frustrating, and annoying books I’ve ever read. FIRST OF ALL, the pacing is all over the place. I absolutely HATE it. The romance and love story is atrocious. I thought I liked Hawthorne, I don’t. Bro what. ALSO I SAW THAT PLOT TWIST COMING A MILE AWAY. Literally 150 pages in I was like yeah, Hawethorne already betrayed her and made her forget abt her past life.

Bro who the frick is Grace? Like huh? ALSO don’t tell Hawthorne is going to BETRAY Emiline! BRO I NEED A GOOD ENDING OK. I CANT HANDLE IT RN. Also I’m not sure if I’m loving the world building of this. I’m so confused. We reached 60 pages and already met the Wood King and I’m like huh? Don’t we have more world building, then we reach 150 or 200 THEN WE MEET the Wood King? Book pacing not working for me

BRO WHAT? I SAW THAT TWIST COMING I KNEW ANGEL AND HECTOR WERE BROS. Ignacio and Esmeralda are so fricking cute give me a love like that. SO GLAD THAT THE MISCOMMUNICATION IS SUBSIDED. Plot twist after plot twist. Honestly I don’t know WHAT IS GOING ON BUT THE LORE TO RIVENS PAST IS INSANE AND THE ENTIRE LORE OF THE PLAYERS, SIL, AND RIVENS SUPPOSED “FATHER” LIKE BRO WHAT ALSO WHEN WILL RIVEN EVER MAKE UP HER MIND?? LIKE DO YOU WANT TO SAVE JUDE OR NOT? DOES JUDE STILL LIKE RIVEN AFTER EVERYTHING? BECAUSE WHAT THE HECK GUYS! Honestly either way I know it’s gonna end bad and I’m scared.

Oh. My. Gosh. MY PREDICTIONS WERE SO WRONG! Instead of acting like they kiss we get an angry argument between Jude and Riven and omg they KISS literally JUDE! OMG HIS WORDS UGH! ALSO Is he okay? What’s happening to him?? I’m scared. Anyway the way he came to rescue Riven, cut off Dorians ear, turn into him, then tell Eneli to kneel toward Riven, ugh. THE STITCH SCENE! THE VILLAIN ARC! RIVEN IS A BADDIE. PERIOD

PREDICTIONS:
1. Riven will take Jude to the North/her brother and then they will try to torture Jude like they did last time to other three Players, BUT Riven will see this and be like don’t hurt him or like don’t touch him OR STAND IN FRONT OF HIM AND SHIELD HIM!!
2. Jude will learn Rivens real name
3. Idk hopefully a kiss scene or atleast a really like intense tension between the two characters

Also I forgot to mention that Jude my lovely Jude IS THE ONE WHO “POISONED” RIVEN BUT HE CLAIMS HE DIDNT I DONT THINK HE DID BUT RIVEN DOES AND IM GOING BALLISTIC! ALSO RIVEN CUT JUDE THE SCAR ON HIS RIGHT PALM IS FROM RIVEN! LIKE WHAT? Also mind you Jude is shirtless in this scene and it makes me giggle because it flusters Riven. ANYWAYS BACK TO DISCOVERY, WHAT THE HECK DUDE! Lowkey I’m not loving Galen.

Can we just let it sink in that first of all Jude is amazing and his so like ugh idk just baddie and gonna say it, hot. Lit he WANTS like y’all we know he wants Riven like bro us NOT hiding it, I mean maybe a little cuz he got to be nonchalant but otherwise he is like I was forced to tell her that we are to be married, and LIT TOUCHES HER AND SHE LOW-KEY LIKES IT AND FORGETS SHE HATES BEING TOUCHED! And the FINGER TOUCH IN THE GREENHOUSE SCENE UGH! ALSO A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THE INTERMISSION AND STRUCTURE OF THIS BOOK!!

Ok! So uhm a lot has happened..mark is removed from Riven and Jude is low-key being a flirt like omggg the way he practically pinned Riven to the bookshelf like ugh bro let that happen to me..
PREDICTIONS: Riven and Jude will kiss most likely from doing a performance on stage or something like that you know like a tragedy or forbidden romance stuff

I was low-key lost during the first good 60 pages. But I think I have the plot now, and I think I know how each character acts besides the competitors in the games since i haven’t rlly seen them yet so I’ll find out sooner or later.
ANYWAY Riven is low-key a baddie in disguise. JUDE, love him, I want more of his backstory but that’s def gonna come.
I want to know what happen to the Player who poisoned Riven.

Alright so uhm, I did not get the fight between James and Tommy. However I will say that what Tommy did was crazy and totally deserved getting beaten up. ALTHOUGH I will say compared to other books I’ve read I felt like it could’ve been more, idk maybe that’s just my fantasy mind spiraling for a fight scene, but yeah I wanted more reason for punch throwing. Also, turns out Amelia is pregnant, Sarah TRICKED ME!

Bro James is DOWN BAD!! SIR HAD FALLEN IN LOVE WITH MADISON SINCE HER EARLY TWENTIES MIND YOU SHE IS THIRTY NOW LIKE UGHH!! LIKE BRO WHAT?! Also I feel so bad for Madison like girl pls let James help you with your panic attacks😭 ALSO ANNIE BEING PREGNANT WAS NOT ON MY BINGO CARD! If anything I suspected Amelia to be preggo, I mean clearly Noah wants children. Love James and Madison, my heart go pitta patter

When I finished this book, I didn’t really feel complete/peace, but I felt clarity between Henry and Audrey’s relationship. Along with Audrey’s dad finding out what she did for the past month he is so chill. I was here for a good time. I wouldn’t call myself glued to this book, but it was an easy read and enjoyable, wacky, and fun read feeling like the side character getting roped into something

Oh my gosh. What the heck.
First of all, Henry is so cute with his movie quotes and honestly just him in general just his personality is amazing. I will have to say that I was worried abt him and Ellie. But it’s ok it all worked out. Also, Chase is lit a douche bag and Ellie shouldn’t have to not eat sweets, HELLO?! Anyway love this book honestly I’m just here for the ride and pure fun of it. Griff=confusing

This is not how I thought it was going to go so far. Honestly those first like 20 pages I was like dang we already getting into it. Like lit page I think 19 and he was like “Will you go out with me” or something like that regarding to fake dating. Which also commenting on the pacing a structure of this book. Uhm I’m not sure if I love it. Honestly I’m just here for a good time no matter how confusing it gets
