I keep finishing and starting over and finishing and starting over.

I skipped about 20 pages early and almost decided to give up on it but the story about the comedy writer kinda brought me back. It really does seem like a short story book that got retconned into a novel.

Sonic Youth is one of my all-time favorite bands and while I can't forgive him breaking up the band ....this is a really good NYC punk history.

Mostly I was getting bored of another book so I switched over to this one. So far it reads like a really good 'zine.

I need to get moving on this, somebody is waiting for it. I liked the TV series and am a casual fan of their music.

The clock ran out, I had to return it to the library but I read the first three stories and Evans is masterful at setting a scene and developing characters. I will get back to this when I have more time.

I feel like there are some statements made that seem unbelievable and maybe are a bit colorfully misleading at times, but the one thing I just noticed: he says that Reagan was re-elected in a landslide the year after the movie Wall Street (1987) came out. That is incorrect. He was re-elected in a landslide in 1984. It is one of the 1st news events I remember as it happened. I might have to examine some other things..
