Holy shit where has this series been all my life?? The writing struggles in certain moments, but I LOVE the vast expanse of creatures and lore and data.

What an amazing premise, and wonderfully executed story so far. You feel the tension, the comedy, and the relief in every chapter.

I genuinely recommend listening to this book on tape, as the narrator does unbelievable work.

So far, so insanely fucked up and unable to put down!

I like this little reprieve from intense mystery and plotting in this volume. Getting to see all these various trainers hunt Suicune is cool

Let’s go, move over Gold and Silver, a fucking completionist has entered the chat. Crystal is the definition of “Gotta Catch Em All” which is a first for this series!

Had to give an update since we just met Giovanni. His character in this series is 100x better than any iteration of him elsewhere. He’s cool, calculating, and deceptive, posing as a humble researcher when we first see him.

Great decision also splitting the gym leaders 50/50 on team Rocket vs Good guys.

Ah yes you know what this book needed? An extremely abusive boyfriend yesss excellent more pain just load up the plate man.

Oh my god what is the point of life… this is awful but I can’t stop because it’s so good.

Such an interesting group of characters and friends, Jude seems like a good character to follow.
