I wanted to like this more than I do. The prose is often confusing, and the setting itself isn’t fleshed out. I can often only picture the characters in empty space because of the lack of description of their surroundings. Maybe that’s the point, to feel dreamlike? But it isn’t working for me. I like the characters well enough but would have liked to see them interacting more.

Not sure I’m gonna finish this one. Feels minimally researched and rushed. A scene of someone turning into a demon reminded me of AO3 fics where the author spends a rambling paragraph describing their self-insert’s appearance. Example of the importance of of showing rather than telling.
