Finally starting this after watching Laura Crone's video essay on the series multiple times. Already a big fan of the prose. I do kinda want to gently smack Quentin in the back of the head already, but I was expecting that coming in so. 😅

Things are getting so juicy. Also happy to see hints towards Esme being more complex than just a " snobby rich girl " archetype.

I've been struggling to get into the books I've been wanting to read after the winter holiday rush, but this one has really got me hooked. I really love how it's written so far, there's a slight bit of whimsy & cheekiness to the prose that is exactly what I want to read.

Trying to read this while working a seasonal job has been so hard. 😭 Getting to finish a chapter while listening to harp music at a Christmas Eve church service was kind of a vibe though.
