I went into this book with no expectations and am greatly enjoying it so far.

“I will always seek to make it summer for you” Nikolai is a professional yearner I love it

If you had told 17 year old me reading shadow and bone that zoya nazyalensky would become one of my favourite characters of all time I would have laughed in your face but you would have been correct

“All saints, Zoya wanted to be near that light. She wanted to feel the warmth of it for as long as she could” I’m loving the dark one & ray of sunshine pairing with get with these two.

You can just tell how much Leigh loves her characters

One thing that’s only just clicked for me (and I may have it backwards) but how did Alex not realise that Eitan might know she’s in Connecticut when he sent her to reiter? Did it not set off alarm bells in her head when she got a job in Connecticut when eitan supposedly still thought she lived in California somewhere.
