what the fuckkkk
i didn’t know that this book is what it was. i thought this was a supernatural story. odd and intriguing

i’m listening to the audiobook read by Drew and the way she reads it is very boring so far. it’s monotone and empty and her vocal fry is awful to listen to as if you’re listening to a self read Miley Cyrus memoir. what bothers me the most is she’s reading it with no personality. it makes everything she’s saying sound like a story instead of real things she’s lived through :/

the pacing is steady so far, i’m anticipating the characters and can’t wait to get further in

i don’t know if everything around me felt distracting or if the writing was just incredibly hard to follow.. most likely a mixture of the two. the characters are about as stereotypical as you can get. the “mean girl” character shows up to the abandoned mansion and her first thought upon seeing the MC is to berate her for their problems. in fact that’s what everyone does, they all immediately start fighting??

Excited to see where the characters relationship is heading. Still have a bit of ways to go. I want to see the main characters relationship with her mom change for the better. Wondering what will happen in the end..
