i was utterly shocked and screaming with the last chapters that I've read. it's crazy how this novel is half cute and half tragedy (but not between the mc and ml)

finally reading xianle story in detail was very insightful and sad at the same time. it's awful to see a character so lovable, kind and strong being completely crushed by the fate of his kingdom, despite his efforts to save it. xie lian did the best that he could, risking his heavenly official title to save his people and everything just fell apart. at least he has one devotee and I'm sure he's hua cheng!
