So far, it's been interesting. The first part is about knowing your enemy, the next is about what kinds of things deer don't like to eat (fuzzy, thorny, smelly things) and how you can hide things they do like to eat amongst things they don't. Pretty solid advice.

I don't have a loom, yet; this is just to prep for making my own loom. So far the diagrams are incredibly helpful. The description of the warping, threading, sleying needs diagrams.

I do not appreciate the gaslighting that they try to pull on her. Simon needs to man up and tell her. Honestly, she should have known before they got married.

I don't love that the Westfield men are intentionally keeping the fact that they're Lycans from Lily and almost manipulating her. She can see that they're not being forthcoming about something that will be a major part of her life.

On one hand, I like how Simon is torn between wanting Lily and wanting her to go away; on the other, it gets old. Lily is very attracted to an irratating man who keeps offending her.

So far, Lily is great. I love that she's tall instead of the usual short woman trope, though Simon is still much taller than her. Idk how I feel so far about him. It has the dangerous rake x virgin trope going on.

The Bandit King is literally me when I read. "I'm evil, not stupid." "Why would I do that? You're my prisoners, that's not going to change."

Aka the princesses take matters into their own hands. Briar is such a villain.

Super short, but action packed.

Oh, look at my powers of forethought. Duncan has arrived and now they are the princes 4. He's a little annoying but he's supposed to be.

Poor Liam. I wonder if the Prince Charmings will meet with Snow White's, since there was a reference to him but ultimately no dice.

I like Liam and Lila. I feel like Briar Rose really would be that way if Sleeping Beauty truly happened.

Yep, Gustav has a major inferiority complex. I love how Federic learned to yodel from his knight idol stopping a lady from using the wrong fork.
The witch, Zaubera, and Reese are great.

Just finished ch 2 and this prince has such an inferiority complex. I hope to see some character developmemt for him.
I loved Rosilda and the troll.
This book, so far is pretty great; comical and wholesome fairy tales, told from the princes' perspectives which is never done. I have high hopes.

I'm trying a more, piece-by-piece review style, so I can go back and see what I felt as I was reading it.
Just finished chapter 1, and even my brother enjoyed it. I felt bad for Frederick in the beginning, but then he just accepted his life and moved on with it, which is what I would do but I would want, on the outside, to rebel a bit more than he does.

I liked it well enough. It definitely read for a teenage audience, but that's fine.

it's pretty good so far. I don't usually read nonfiction so I'm pleasantly surprised.
