Amazing-so heartfelt and unraveling

I’m hooked! Such a great opener. Pulls you in on the action and curiosity. SO good.

Really don’t like this book. Too much math, she’s too desperate and no biomedical engineer and data analyst calls themselves a mathematician.

Fever dream is a current phrase, but in this would’ve been written in the early 2010’s late 2000’s.

A girl getting into NYU on early action has to series. She has to have read a book. How else did you pass the ACT and SAT?!

No 17 year old who likes math would spew this much poetry about math. It would be factual and logical.

Their internal dialogue would also not be that self aware at 17 about Nicks home life within 6 hours of meeting them.

Meanwhile, math is immaculate. It existed long before humans did, and it’ll still be here long after we’re gone.

1. How does a math nerd know the word immaculate but not Philistine?

Math was invented by ancient civilizations. A math nerd would’ve known that.

It’s too flawless for any human to have invented? Math is flawed. It was invented by humans.

She is a glorified medical software engineer. This is something that occurs in the medical setting currently. Do your research!

What 17 year old says I see holiness in math?!

Also, she only had 3 months until graduation and college. She is going to be heartbroken and distraught for 15 years over a guy she knew for 3 months, lost her virginity to and not seek deep counseling for it during that time?? All of this just seems like poor lifestyle choices.

The whole premise is gross.

Gallant knowing Nick is the one writing Aubrey love letters from the start is manipulative, gross and petty.

Nick not getting over Aubrey and not having reached out for 15 years is so unrealistic.

Nick being separated for multiple years but pretending by still living in the same house with his ex is tragic!

Aubrey spilling her guts to Nick day one, desperate.

I like the descriptions of the bookstore and hope this books redeems the shop and Carmen owns it in the end!

Amazing reveal about Sunset.

Amazing! His use of every word, every character, every perspective is brilliantly done to tell the tale of racial disparity, violence, injustice and making people live with the deep shame and consequences to their actions. Wonderful!

So intense, so violent and yet, such a telling and true tale of violence in today. I think this book will get banned and be a classic studied and parsed for years to come.

Slow and redundant

Why did Louisa leave?! Do not needed, just let them two of them be in scenes together!!

Slow to start but FINALLY getting good with the conversation between Ted and Louisa.
