Very easy to read account of the experiences of a child soldier in the Sierra Leone civil war. It is hard to imagine everything Ismael Beah has went thru on his journey, but his story is a testament to how far humans can push themselves to survive, and still come back from that darkness.

Interesting book. Like all of Keegan's books it is very information dense, but he does a great job of making it easy to digest. Definitely an enjoyable read
